    Personally, I would LOVE an
Art Deco vanity table and mirror, especially with a matching stool. These were used for preparing your hair,
makeup and putting on the appropriate jewelry which was usually kept in the drawers. SIGH. I would cherish the lifestyle that this furniture afforded. Please can someone restore these to their ORIGINAL state?
You have done beautiful work here..imagine how lovely it would have been completely restored. Thank you for your work and videos. I'll keep watching. ❤

Thank you. Restoring to original state is nice and most people think they look beautiful that way, but at the same time very few people actually buy them - this piece was in a local fleamarket for over a year so I thought that I'd give it a second life

You have got some unreal woodworking skills. I was enthralled watching you create the leg joints. Amazing result Tim. 😊

I watched you making the new leg joint and can’t get my head round it, I’d love to have your skill set. Great job 👍

I really enjoyed watching this, you used good techniques to transform this into furniture that can used again in a modern home… So many of these pieces probably just end up at the incinerator… It would be good if you could use the two mirrors again for something in the future…👍🏻

I am sure you are not the first but it is the first time I seen the desk turn into side tables, and I love the solution on adding the leg. Very solid. Keeping the tenon was smart. Old school furniture was built well in general nails were used more often than screws. Before the batter operated drill and impacts. Luck of the gods you missed it or just talent. Great Job.

I Told You Ducks are Funnier! A Beautiful Repurposing. Their so Nice, The two Colors together are very Attractive. They could Easily be used Individually! Is it the Light or is One a Little Darker than the Other? I Liked the Step by Step You did when adding the Fourth Leg. Very Detailed! I've seen other Restorers turn Vanity Dressers into Nightstands but They didn't Focus on the Legs as Much. Thank You!

Thanks Robert - they are much the same colour! You can get away with a multitude of sins when you paint night stands but I wanted to retain the wood look so I had to make a neat job of the legs!!

I must admit that I'm disappointed that you cut up this beautiful example of art decco furnature! If all you CZcams keep cutting up these pieces for content there won't be any of these old pieces left to represent the era! There will never be anymore of these pieces made! It was in surprisingly in good shape! Why not replace the glass and refinish it? The world is not desperate for another pair of sidetables. But it will never have anymore original decco dressing tables.

Thanks for your thoughts but the dresser was destined for the tip before I got it. I'm sure that you would prefer it to continue to be used in whatever form.

@@RhooseRestorations i understand your point about it being thrown away. And I thank you for rescuing it. I just would have preferred it be rescued intact instead of being cut up

    • @RhooseRestorations

It had been in a local flea market for over a year when I bought it, so nobody cared enough to buy it to repair. Beautiful - yes, but practical in the modern home???@@margaretmarks6685
