Fantastic! This is a game changer. By far one of the best ideas I have seen in a long time. I plan on trying this one! Thank you very much!😁
So glad you found the video helpful. Please keep me updated on yours when you make it.
Mike... you should build a deck on the front of your yurt so Lacy can sit on the porch and rock the baby this spring !!!!
Mike, Miguel!!! Use some charcoal in your fridge it absorbs moisture and smells. I bought a freezer people power went out and freezer was fine just had that awful smell after scrubbing it down still wouldn't make the smell after about a week of charcoal in the bottom I noticed a difference about a month later we started putting food into it and honestly I don't even notice it we finally pulled the charcoal after 2 months but we ran freezer with the charcoal in it.
Growing up we only had the box freezer we also use them in the same similar way. For my upright freezer I had the same problem the door couldn't shut with the trays so the sides were cut down similar to yours but I used a styrofoam sheet in the door I just had to glue it and I still use my grow lights . I think it's funny how things come back around in a new age.
Omg your daughter is so big and still so respectful.
I love what you call your home “farmstead “
Honestly I FF to the end and got all excited about the "whoosh! It's grow time!"
Even ln your time off there's so much work to get Done.
Little by little things are getting Done.
That fridge idea is FANTASTIC! YOU must be a farmer! WINK, WINK.. Don't ya love it when a plan works for good.... Keep up the good job Fit Farmer Mike!
Sending Y'all Loving Blessings , Lacie ,🌺💐🌲 and family 🥰Learned something new today , thanks Mike 🍃🌱
Another “Mike-vention!” This is awesome!!! I agree, I luv hands-on and learning new information! It blew my mind… just 3 days and radishes were ready to be transplanted in the greenhouse!!!! FANTASTIC!!!!
Safety glasses Mike better safe than sorry keep up the videos God bless you and you're family
I just love how you can 'wing it' and come out shining. Keep positive.
You might use some of the reflective insulation on the door. Also you might clean of the gasket on the door it looks like it is moldy.
I really enjoy looking at all the thing you and your family do.
Thank you
Great video! I learned something new! Never seen this before... Saylah is almost as tall as you! So pretty! Thank you for sharing! Take care! God Bless! Can't wait for baby!!!
Wow, amazing Mike. With a couple of those you can start a lot of micro greens and seed. Super useful to start seeds for the greenhouse planting too.
Love your videos and enjoy watching them every time they come on. May the Lord bless and protect you and your family and the animals
This is wonderful! I have an old upright freezer taking up space in my garage!!! Perfect solution!! Thank you Mike!!
Good 👍 job, well done ❤
That’s a neat idea! Would never have thought to use a freezer! Hugs & God bless ❤
Excellent! Thank you for sharing this, very timely. You have the best videos! Changing things up all the time - keeps it interesting. Many thanks. Blessings to you and your family.
You are so welcome!
If freon has been drained drill a hole through fridge and redo cord and take out through hole
Wow! That is insane 😳
Super fast germination! I wish my old chest freezer was an upright....
I have an idea 💡 on how to build a germination chamber...
Thanks for sharing !
Turn it on its side it works I have one done like that
@@starladoak7276 LOL I still use it as a freezer right now- thanks for the idea!
Great info , I’ll bet Lacey wants her slow cooker back by now , you can buy one or two at goodwill for probably under $10.00 ! I saw 1 the other day for $4.00 , it was the 4qt round one but still a good price! Looks like you’ll be able to jump start a lot of your garden seedling much faster ! God bless ❤️🙏🙋🏻
WOW I really like that idea. Definitely going to have to remember this when I get my property. That will be a game changer. Thanks for sharing. Have a blessed day. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️💕👩🏻🌾
Nicely done Mike. I'd never heard about this before. Also, the improvement to your chamber looked really great.
There was a lot of grunting involved. 😆
Great vlog & info; thanks for sharing! Blessings to your family 🤗💜🇨🇦
I put hung grow lights in my old freezer. I cracked the door and put a tall heater with a fan. Then I set it to a warm temp. It worked great for my peppers and tomatoes last 2 years.
Great idea Mike.
Mike just be glad your not having to be pregnant for a day while trying to do this project. It would be really difficult.
That is so awesome! I never would have even though of something like that!!! Wow
I wish it was grow time up here in Wisconsin I still have 35 inches of snow on the ground and we still have till the end of March to get more snow but great job on your chamber
That was very interesting Mike. One way of recycling an old fridge. Well Done.
Sure wish my hubby would listen to me. You spray the foam in, LET IT DRY, then cut it. He sits there smooching it with his fingers which takes all the air out and wonders why it is all sunken in and won't work. Then he works and works at trying to get the stuff off of his fingers. You did a great job.
Love it! It's so awesome to see how far you and your family have come. you guys are doing great! The video's are amazing as always. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Whoa! What an amazing idea! Thank you for sharing this idea! ❤
Hi Mike, they have those styrofoam boards in the school supplies @ dollar tree. I've been using them in my windows to keep the cold air out. Nice job on the incubator. Good to see the seeds growing so fast. Can you go over what kind of trays and soul you are using to start the seeds? Thanks! The kids are getting tall. I hope Lacie is resting.
How inventive!
Great job brother Fit Farmer and family God Bless you and your family
This was really cool to see Mike! Thanks for showing us how to build a germination chamber!
Baking soda and vinegar are my go to’s for cleaning as well. No pollutants for my body and…it works great!
Dear @Reading Destination would you be so kind as to give measurements as I would love to try this. Thank you
@@dEEmARIE- I don’t use much in the way of measurements; when washing fruit and veggies in my sink , (I only have a bathroom sink, by the way) I sprinkle 1-3 tablespoons (depending on how full my sink is) of baking soda then pour from 1- several medium sized splashes of vinegar over the top, then fill the sink with water. For cleaning solution I infuse vinegar with citrus rind for a couple months, then pour into glass jar for keeping. Then fill half a spray bottle with vinegar and half with water (keep in mind that the vinegar can wreck spray nozzles, so I unscrew the nozzle when not using). I also put a cup or two in my laundry as a “fabric softener”. It works way better than any toxic cleaner and it doesn’t hurt my health as the toxic cleaners do.
@@readingdestination9025 Thank you so much...I'm excited to try that.
what a lot of valuable information that you gave us in this video. thanks so much. have a great week.
Very cool I live in the south and it's still too cold for me to do anything I can't do anything in my house because I don't have heat. And it gets very cold in my house
I live very minimal.
So when mother nature decides to warm up out side then I'll start seeding out side.😊
Always learn from the masters.
Wow Mike that is so cool & I can't wait to watch the progress. Cheers Denise Australia
The Inkbird is so cool!
FYI you can use an old shoehorn to help slip that panel behind the lip of the door.
Always enjoy your videos. Makes wish I were 10 years younger. Lol
Cant wait to see your other yurt being put up an decorations..
Yeah that’s how I’ve learned over all these years. Reading videos, fails etc. love the family business successes. Long time viewer.
I like how you chuckle all the time‼️

Hi..... Mike Dickson and Lacie nice to see you love watching your videos homestead 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 👕🐔🐓🐣🐥🦃🐕🐐🐝🌱🌺🌹🌻🌼🌸🌷🏡🎥👍👍👍
We had some renters leave a refrigerator behind with meat in the freezer and food in the fridge. If you've ever smelled maggots on rotting foot, Oh, hope you never do. It's so so gross. Yes soda and vinegar are great cleaners. 😁😁👋👋💖💖
LOL, Momma gets a new crock pot.
You may want to clean freezer trim the black mold is not great,,you did well cleaning it
Hi guys, good to see you.👍🏻😊
Mike I enjoyed your video.
We would up making a grain holder out of our old refrigerator. We laid it down on its side and use a little stick to keep it propped open a half inch. Helps keep mice out of the feed.
Hi Family ❤️. Thank you for the great ideas.
Such a cool idea! Thanks for the inspiration!
Good Job again Mike
I’d like to see now how you divide them to plant in the greenhouse.
Good job 👍
That is such a cool up cycle. Wow 🤩

Hey Mike, they make these nifty things called gloves. You should try them! ;)
Awesome! 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽
Nice work 👏 👌 👍 💪
Hi like the talk thank you , Lucky Edmonds form Candler NC
i shall copy your idea..................I LOVE IT!
Wow thanks great idea.i so doing this
Hey Ya'll glad to see yah again
Now, that's cool.
Genius!!!
My version: paper plate, paper towel, baggie. Write the name of the seeds you will add on the paper plate. Place the paper towel on the plate and dampen it. Sprinkle the seeds over it lightly. Slide into baggie. Choose a warmer place to put them that's away from direct sunlight. Watch daily. Spritz with water if it dries out. Add to garden or pot when they start to sprout AND water often.
Thanks
Mike just wanted to let you know that, when I tried to watch your video The first time it said video unavailable 🤔 but I tried again and I got it.
I see you have the little box of baking soda. We buy 80 lb sacks of it at the feed store. The goat dairy farmers here feed it free choice to their animals. But I bring it home and put it in half gallon jars and any other vessel w a lid that I can find. We use it all the time here, too.
Good Day 😊
Hey Mike, that’s what they make gloves for! 😂
Baking soda is like duck tape 101 uses😂
Lol, I was thinking LOOK OUT y'all there's a dead body in that freezer!
Baking soda and peroxide I also works. Well .. good luck 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
That's cool
Baking soda and vinegar . . . AND Elbow Grease!
An seeing your new little one also
Hallelujah
Couldn't you install grow lights inside the freezer? 🤔 Maybe down the sides so each shelf gets light?
