    I went to my first run-what-ya-brung at the drags, at Adelaide International on a Wednesday night in 1980 or '81. That was an eye opener, and a lesson in never judge a book by its' cover. Dyno runs for all who are interested is another one. Sometimes the cars or bikes that look like they're going to work, do, but often they don't. People do delight in building show ponies and sleepers.

    Internals should hold out tuff for some bounce but not heaps, good idea to tuff internals rotating with forged for good rb30 dosing actian broom!

      scootbmx01 allthough that car was a bit low, there could be a million reasons why.
      The dynotech traditionally is low reading with around 25% losses.

      That Clubby later found to have fouled plugs and belt was replaced safe to say makes a lot more power now

      The car kept going into Limp mode, normally it makes over 600kw.

    i love both Holdens and Fords, but, strap a Ford with a Turbo Barra on the dyno, and it beats just about every Holden ! Again, love em or hate em, that Barra is an awesome engine ! :)

    That red VF GTS-R is 430 odd kw at the flywheel “apparently” but only made 323kw at the Wheels?? I’d be disappointed for that price tag....

    lol must feel bad to have a supercharged LS and only make 401hp...my ls1 with cam and bolt ons makes 409 and could make even more with a fast intake and UD pulley

      Australian dynotech dynos usually are low reading, especially compared to the mustang/dynojet in the usa.
      280wkw on this dyno is actually about 500hp at the engine. Which is just about spot on.

      dartanion 007 prob stock LS1. Hard to feed much boost in and timing with that high comp. prob made 180rwkw from factory so 400+ isn’t bad on I assume 98 octane.

      This is power measured at the tyres, would be over 300hp at the crank.
      It was a very mild engine.

      195wkw on that dyno is something like 260 to 270 flywheel kw, so right in the ballpark of a stocker

      So many people don't understand about parasitic losses. The power figures quoted by manufacturers are always at the flywheel. Wheel hp is significantly less.
      11:05 This AMG Benz for instance is rated at 507hp by MB and it makes 385whp on the chassis dyne. That's 24% loss with a modern transmission and diff.
