I absolutely adore Usopp. The hate he gets in so unwarranted. He stands his ground in situations where an average dude will piss himself
Yesss! That was one of the points I was making. He literally is just a dude. The amount of courage he has is crazy

100% usopp was one of my favorite characters since day 1 because he was never cowardly, not really. A coward would have never faced Kuro in the first place
I just really enjoy how one piece uses usopp to show viewers you can still be scared when facing your fears. It’s a natural response but it is up to you to decide how you handle yourself in the face of that fear
I’ve seen a lot of theories about Elbaf where Usopp might get to wield Mjölnir, and I totally believe it’s going to happen. Usopp already has a history with hammers, and with the amount of courage he has in him, I’m sure he’d be deemed worthy!
I haven’t heard that before but that is a really cool theory and I think it would be an awesome way to top off his character arc
that and chopper having nordic deer arc shit is the firest theories ever
Another reason why Usopp ran during Dressorsa is Robin got wiped from history so he has no emotional connection to the events of Enis Lobby, he just declared war on the world for no real reason other than Luffy told him to
That is something I didn’t think about. A lot of his growth was voided because robin got wiped there. Thanks for pointing that out

Very well made video. An underrated aspect of Usopp's development in Dressrosa in my opinion, is that he learns to let go of his need for validation. Ever since his first appearance it's evident that Usopp is constantly looking for validation from others. A lot of the time he lies just because he wants to seem cool and be admired (think of a lot of the things he says to Chopper). This trait of his is at its most apparent when he lies to the Tontattas about being a legendary hero. When he eventually comes to their aid and faces Trebol he openly declares that he is no hero or anything like that and that he is just Usopp. This amount of honesty is kind of rare to be displayed by Usopp but there's still more. When Usopp pulled off his impossible shot against Sugar and saved Luffy from being turned into a toy he never received any acknowledgement for it from Luffy. That's because Luffy never found out about Sugar's abilities and thus remains unaware of just how much in danger he was at that moment. When Usopp took the shot his inner dialogue conveyed that he didn't care if Luffy ever found out that he saved him. All he cared about was Luffy's safety. This disregard for acknowledgement isn't very common for Usopp and I think Dressrosa was the arc that made him overcome his need for validation

Yeah I will in the future. I was considering doing one on Sanji because I find his story really cool. I just enjoy making videos and plan to branch out and do character analysis stuff over a variety of animes and shows
It really pisses me off how people say that Usopp is useless, or that he doesn’t care about his crew.
Even a CZcamsr I LIKE said the latter about Usopp, and I couldn’t disagree more.
Which CZcamsr said that, so I know not to watch their content, because Usopp hate isn’t welcome!

But regarding that second thing, it was really just a bad take, or a take I didn’t agree with. They’re a great channel otherwise. I don’t want to disclose which channel said it, because it’s not a big deal. But thanks!

yes he has wdym, just because he hasn't had a standout moment like he did in dressrosa doesn't mean he hasn't been doing anything, in wano for example, he took out bao huang which was super important, he and tama shot the dango into the gifters mouths, and usopp saved kiku and kinemon while giving a speech to try and change their mindsets.
