She had a decade-long career in the Japanese music industry before she made any sort of solid impact in the Korean industry because, at each of her 20+ failed auditions to Korean companies, she was rejected because she "isn't pretty enough to be successful," and then when she finally started to gain traction in Korea, she filed a lawsuit against her company because they mistreated her. I think this track hits so hard because she and RM have both felt the waves of uncertainty and turmoil, and have both really struggled in life.

Their song “Numb” also talk about important issues like education, social pressures depression and suicide.
