BABY'S FIRST DOCTORS APPOINTMENT

- We vlogged little tidbits throughout the week while Nikki was healing and we are getting used to being parents. I demonstrate swaddling the baby, our friend April came over to cook dinner and spend the night, and Iris had her one week checkup with a pediatrician.
You can tell she already has him wrapped around her finger. So sweet. Welcome to the hardest job you'll ever love
Wow, John is an AMAZING father! I get misty eyes hearing him talk about how much he loves his baby girl :) Poor Nikki, I had the exact same thing happen to me and my recovery was rough. My only advice, get up and move as much as you can, BUT don't over do it and stay on top of your pain meds. Don't let them slip just yet.

John is such a good dad. The way he looks at Iris is the most precious thing I've ever seen. He truly loves her with all his heart and it's just a beautiful thing. Nikki and john are great parents and I can't wait to see there new journey as a family.

HE really is amazing. I'm feeling better now. The first night home from the hospital was the worst, my pain meds weren't enough and I just shook all night long in pain. I got a little better everyday. It is just expected. I had a complicated c-section. I was already in delivery so they had to push her back into my stomach and then cut her out. It was a lot of trauma to my body. So it was like I was recovering from birth and a c-section at the same time.
nikki its your first child u have to be protective of germs what do u expect
Wolfia 123 its good for bbys they will be immunity exposed to germs and she will get sick at first but its good for her immune system plus she has many pets bbys iris will have be exposed to many bacteria which will be good for her. #eachchickenwings
She really is a baby Dahl. John you're eyes spark whenever you talk about iris. She is beautiful. Keep up the good work and it's okay if you guys don't vlog every day. Take all the time you need.
John...I have to say I am VERY impressed...you know how to swaddle...you know when Iris is hungry...you can see the love & protection instinct in your eyes...Now I'd expect all of that with the Momma, but the Daddy doesn't always do everything too...so kudos to you John!!!
Those pink & white flowers from Nikki's mom are beautiful...I'll bet she can't wait to see her!!

Can I just say what a wonderful job your doing John!😊 so many dads would never get up to help with all u do! I know Nikki appreciates your help so much! I had 2 c- sections and had very little to no help. So way to go!! And Iris is perfect!!!😘
I know a lot of people said John did not look that excited during your pregnancy but look at him now!!! John, your doing such a good job your just go with the flow and so calm about it from what I can see! Your helping Nikki and taking amazing care of Iris. Get well soon Nikki, baby is so beautiful

The way John is about everything makes me smile so much. He is such a great dad already, and you too Nikki you are just awesome! I remember when I found you guys on CZcams around 4 years ago. I was so obsessed with your guys's videos. I was going threw a rough time then & you guys never failed to make me laugh & make me feel good about myself. Yet still you guys are here & I'm still obsessing over your videos. Not only can you always make me laugh but you teach me the ways of life. The smile on your face after your birth was unbelievable. It makes me not feel so scared of birth. No matter how painful it will be I will be SO happy in the end. So its all worth it. I hope to get engaged and married with a guy as amazing as John.

I love the name Iris its probably the best name ever for her. I prayed for iris every night for a month that she was healthy and it paid off. I love her as if she was my sister. I love yall, yall r going to be great parents

You guys are AMAZING. I know Nikki went through a tough labor but at least everyone is safe now and you can enjoy baby Iris every day! John is a fantastic dad. When I was watching vlogs from a couple month ago he was really sad and almost seemed a little depressed at times but know you can see how happy he is and how attached and love he has for that baby. You guys are great

My one & only son is 23, so my next baby adventure (someday) will be grandkids! I hear they're even better!! LOL!!

ENJOY EVERY SECOND WITH IRIS...EVEN WHEN SHE'S SICK, IT WILL GO SO FAST...HAVE FUN!!
You guys are young and new parents so you're still trying to get things right and that's fine! Every new parent experiences first time baby jitters and worries (especially about coughing kids) but you will get use to the swing of things and can finally relax with you're bundle of joy!
