- Hey guys - so after attending the midnight release of Halo: CEA,
I am uploading an entire playthrough of the campaign on Normal.
After I upload the campaign gameplay, I will extend my 'tree branches'
to different topics such as terminals, glitches and achievements. - Hry
I hope Dustin Echoes made it out safely as well.
Moozipan Cheese sucks
glad i'm not the only one that heard that when I was a kid! It took me awhile to realize what she actually said.
4T3hM4kr0n! I thought she said just dust and echoes.
Augustus Sinclair they are??
I can still remember playing this in 6th grade lol.
5:35 that moment on legendary that a random grenade screws up your life forever
And destroys a 96% perfect Warthog run.
My 5th to last run
DudesInSuits this was normal difficulty it says in the description the guy playing is just trash
@Harley O’keefe Still, those sneaky-ass plasma grenades can really screw you over.
Normally dying during a playthrough is unprofessional, but that was so rando that I can't hate or not laugh
The Pillar of Autumn engineers were clearly hoping for this exact scenario when designing the interior of this ship
"FUCKING MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE!!!! STOP WOBBLING AROUN YOU SHITTY ASS WARTHOG!"- Me playing the last part
i always hated the warthogs for their springy as hell suspension
My friend recreated this in Halo Custom Edition and named it Warthog Run Michael Bay Remaster with 100 times more explosions than this...
Also Shia Labouf screaming Just Do It!! in the audio track
he used to have it on Halo CE maps but i am too lazy to find it again.
+Lutz Peyton if you can please find this lol, i must experience this.
Lutz Peyton Why tf you lyin, why you always lyin? hmmmmm oh my god, stop fucking lyin.
Tenthwizard87 ?
Man this game was so tough, even in normal difficulty with the flood but still the greatest to this day
Even on easy this part is the same lol
R.I.P. Foehammer, otherwise known as Echo-419.
RIP FOEHAMMER
Such a good pelican that met an early end you will always be remembered
Oh, the memories...trying for several days and failing miserably, then at about 4 in the morning one weekend pulling it off. My greatest gaming accomplishment up until that point, and one of the greatest to this day.
I completed it my first try
@@horatiohornblower4123 yeah, try that in legendary
@@kapzet9951 That’s what I meant 💀

I like how his first attempt at the walk of doom literally blew up in his face!
Also: Dustin Echoes is one lucky S-O-B
Dustin Echoes is the true hero of the Halo games
I love how they basically had the same driving sequence for the end of halo 1 and 3.
It was in 2 as well, but unused in the final product.
@@indianaliam1 damn XD i made that post 9 years aggo

Foehammer was nice.

@@Space_C0wb0y420 we know
@@Dr.s3RTH The guy I replied to deleted his comment, he was asking what happened to her.
what's her name again?i swear i saw it in one of the books
foehammer getting shot down is probably the saddest moment in all of the games, because at that point you know that nobody else was going to make it
How the hell is pillar of autumn mapped to make a war jeep not just be able to drive in full speed, but need 5 minutes to get around 10 stories downwards?
Continuity my friend, it bullshit
they didn’t really care about the behind the scenes stuff but hey it’s fun that’s all we need
Video games.
Damn man, i felt so bad for you when you died there from that plasma, that's just unlucky dude R.I.P
3:40 dem feels...
7:06 is probably the most butt clenching moment in all of video game history, especially on legendary
Martin O'Donnell deserves an award for sticking the main Halo theme in the warthog run.
The first time I played this was something I will never forget
foehammer did a hell of a job may she rest in peace :'(
Negative negative! We have a wild-cat destabilization of the ships' fusion core!
Great line to shout :D.
I’ve heard that line too many times in a row lol.
i change it to classic at this part to bring back the memory's of when i played it the first time
One time when I was waiting for echo 419 on the bridge I had a banshee fire a fuel rod cannon at the warthog with me in it. I escaped in time but the warthog fell off the edge. I had to run back to the other side to retrieve the warthog under the elevation under enemy fire and continue.
Yeah, that's absolute bullshit. There's no way you ran all the way back, then drove all the way back to the long sword in about 3 minutes.
@@randomstuff508 you clearly misunderstood what I have said as I said that I ran to the other side of the bridge, not all the way back to the beginning as just before you enter the bridge where echo 419 is coming to get you there is a hidden warthog just beneath the slope you jump off onto the bridge
@@shooterdownunder what do you mean when you said "the warthog fell of the edge"?
@@randomstuff508 my warthog was hit by a fuel rod cannon from a banshee and it was knocked off the edge of the bridge.
Watching this video.....i cringed so much because of the driving
Simon Dastvan the way he died..... ouch....
Simon Dastvan Way better than Halo 5’s (or really the franchise for that matter lol) AI Marine driving lolz.
@@bacilluscereus1299 It's just... he crashes a lot
and I don't blame him for this, but he skips the optimal paths in the beginning, and those are literally right in front of the player
I love when u ran over those elites they wee like "waaaaaaahhhhh"
3:36 When real men cried at a very young age
4:25 the music still gets me good on the memories
I always get annoyed at those two banshees that shoot down Echo 419. Their cockpits are open, which the devs could have easily fixed by loading bipeds into the vehicles and then setting them so they couldn't take damage.
Pelican can't shoot lol
Twitch /UncaringSumo755 But the player can
@@user-tg7zb3oq3y how is it bad
At least you get to hear the amazing music again!
That was, the shittiest driving, I've ever seen
Say that while your warthog is getting tiped over by sentinel beams on halo 3's last mission
should’ve seen me driving
Yeah, this mission really sucks. Honestly I would probably have remembered it more fondly if it was on foot, but no, I usually remember this as one of the shittiest final missions.
@@ThatWhiteHand Nah this final mission is iconic for a reason. It's an epic final push to the end what's not to love
It’s an amazing level because everyone not only rememberes how hard it was but they remember how fulfilling it was to complete the level
Playing this level always made my heart race
me and my brother did this on legendary mode earlier today, you only get 5 minutes, it was very stressful, we kept getting so close to the ship and then just dying to a grenade, but after about 7 or so failed attempts we finally made it

Echo-419! She's gone...calculating alternate escape route. The ship's inventory shows one Longsword fighter still docked in Launch Bay 7. If we move now, we can make it!!!
This brought me nolstalgia nothing could give me today as a child 7-8 I played and loved this and now I can again
I got this game for christmas in 2001 I was 6 years old I am now 19 watching in 2013
Echo 419 is the most slept on sad Halo death in the series.
So echo 419 was just in the sky the whole time watching humanity get eaten by the flood?
Yes
If you’re interested in the backstory of the events of Halo: Combat Evolved, I recommend reading Halo: The Flood. The book follows the campaign but also cuts away to what the other UNSC personnel were doing on the ring, such as establishing a base etc. Echo 419 was operating out of said base rather than just flying around randomly
Great videos, Great graphics/camera u da best!
E419's crash was so upsetting the first time I played Halo Combat Evolved.
Damn it, Foehammer's death hit me harder than Aerith's ever did.
I remember being 6 and seeing flood scared the shit out of me. Still scares me now lol
I had lots of fun playing this part of the mission in the original Halo CE.
When THE music kicks in and the goosebumps start to appear...
I like how they kept the pilotless banshees in the shootdown scene xD
4:58 I can't believe how many times I died doing that jump. Not because I didn't make it but because the fall was too long. + I hit myself with my own warthog at 5:25 pretty much all the time
Thaaaaat was epic. The graphics quality gave me the chills.
I still get goosebumps watching this
Some mad driving skills man!
Master chief should be in fast and furious 1300 lol
the part where echo 419 crashed was the saddest because she saved your life in the whole entire game.(to pick you up)
It is really fun to get a really good driver and then sit in the passenger seat and watch from there. it looks so freaking epic.
Main theme fits so damn good..
I love Halo so much, and I even completed Halo 3s warthog run in legendary mode! This game is just so great!
What I never understood is why does the Pillar of Autumn have all the use snaking corridors and tunnels. (the ones you drive your warthog through).
Because at one point the engineers of the ship thought.
Engineer 1: you know what would make this part of the ship hard to navigate? A bunch of twists and jumps...
Engineer 2: I totally agree, it's not like anyone will be trying to destroy a giant ring in space or something.
Holy shit. I just stumbled onto this old comment of mine 5 years later. Man, do I feel old now. Those comments made me lol though @halodestroyer490 @Jugo

Oh god that driving, I thought I was bad
i can only imagine the feeling the game developers felt after watching this mission play out after so much going on being added in. they created so many memories for so many people. For me to watch it and still take me back to those times is awesome.
So it's that the pillar of autumn is 4680 feet which equals 1.4 km but you need to reach a point 2 km away that doesn't add up
(I know this is a year old comment) either A: it tracks based on the fastest trail or B (Which is more likely): is that they made Halo CE before the Pillar of Autumn had a definite size in the lore. I'm not entirely sure but I think it's sized was released a after the release of Halo CE and they probably decided not to fuck with it when they remade the game.
“You know our motto, we deliver”
-foehammer (R.I.P)
Leaving the car behind was the saddest thing for me.
This is the most awesome badass level in the game!
I haven't done any real gaming in years. For some reason, I just had the urge to play Halo for the first time in 9 years, so I bought a laptop and the Master Chief collection. When I got to the warthog run, I was impressed how well I drove through it. Didn't flip once and made it with over 2 minutes to spare.
Just a tip, you typically want to stop accelerating on the jumps.
Probably the best game ending ever
Best part EVER I saved a checkpoint so I can redo this like crazy
jeez... First time playing Halo MCC, this part, Warthog Run, it took me almost 3:30 hr to finish it.... Normal Mode... :/ :/
I played it today and I couldn't finish it because of the driving mechanics, one time I actually got to the end where you must run to the Pillar and a grenade screwed it all up 😭
I hope I can finish it sometime though
I remember it being a little difficult, but I don't remember it beIng THAT hard :O
Wait til you play halo 2 heehee
ahh i remember playing this back in 2003, good times
4:53 “Chief, up ahead there’s a gap in the trench. At top speed we should be able to clear it”.
are i'm the only one who think's The first halo was best?
No
It's been ten years and you still can't see the master chiefs face
I hate how theres only one checkpoint, if you die you have to start all the way in the beginning
that happened to me before I really don't know how to pass this mission because I feel the like driving part is very hard because of the time limit and overcoming obstacles and avoiding those floods, those laser sentinels and covenant
I think you have to make it to the second part (after Echo get taken down) in a certain ammount of time to trigger the checkpoint. I had to restart many times and eventually i got a checkpoint in the middle, but i notice i did a much better run in the first part. Probably done to avoid screwing part 2 in a looped checkpoint that does not give you enough time. COD4 had a similar thing at the end when there is a countdown in "no fighting in the war room"
That middle checkpoint definately helped cause the number of times i died on the big jump and once at the end cause an elite stuck me with a nade... pfff
when the halo music started i knew that the shit was about to hit the fan.
one of the best games I ever played
THIS was the ending? I don't know how I messed up.
I played the original, and I always got stuck at a ramp that bridged a gap between two parts of the Pillar after E419 goes down. I never got to beat the game even after being so close. A SHAME.
It's not too late. Replay it.
At this point the pillar of Autumn was suddenly 10 times it's normal length.
my best time for this run on original halo was 4 minutes, that's with no stuff up and well timed execution of shortcuts, ah, so much fun was had.
I luv it how echo 419 goes down with 2 banshees on her tail and if u try take a phantom down it takes 4 ever
I'm still surprised that the music bug from the original version still present in this version. :L
When I heard the grunt scream at the beginning I just died laughing XD
100 million degrees!! man thats hotter than the sun.
I like the new "Drumrun" it's kind of fresh
Goodbye Foehammer! A true soldier
Dustin Echoes hijacked a covenant ship and flew it out of orbit, to be later picked up by UNSC scavenger ships. His tale, foreshadowed by that of the legendary Captain John Spartan, has now been told. Godspeed Dustin, godspeed.
Thats The Ship... We need to get abord Now!
Woah, yoda's lightsabre broke at the handle! Oh, wait- that's the like bar.
When I did the mission on the mcc I played the warthog theme from rvb
as a kid I didnt even recognize 1 echo 4-19 was a pilot and 2 that she died trying to pick us up..... as an adult im like "ECHO 4-19 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
6:23 “Chief, up ahead there’s a gap in the trench. At top speed, we should be able to clear it!”
Strident- the percussionist's paradise.
Favorite game ever😐💓
4:04 the beginning of why I fell in love with Halo
Same

???
You just had to be there 🙏🏻
this is the best of all halo games
I remember the first time I did this I made it to the end and died of an elite I think and I was laughing for a few seconds then stopped realizing I had to restart the whole damn warthog run
If this part were real it will be more epic: The Hog's Wheels and floods burning by the heat, the Masterchief's shields desactivated by the radiation and everything falling and exploding...
I find it hard to believe that a single fighter on board of the Pillar of Autumn would escape the massive crash by just standing idle on the landing pad the whole time but oh well. X3
Nice music glitch at the end lol wow
this game is deffanently a 10/10 for epicness
Nothing says epic like the ending music to halo.
I didnt even realize the pelican part and just carried on driving
...
I remember first hearing that music
i was just playing this though the first time and was having a hard time. I got to the warthog run and crashed the car so i was going to reload it and i accidentally clicked restart level. i'm crying right now.
