Very cool video. My earlier 888 videos I ran a junk chain because it was all I had in 404 at the time. It's about to get a few mods , and unlimited coil and a decent chain. Love the big saws. Great video bro.
This chainsaw worked well to cut up a pile of cedar logs czcams.com/users/postUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and stumps. I used it to cut 12"-16" diameter logs and a handful of odd-shaped stumps that were larger in diameter. There was more than enough power even when using 2x100' extension cords. Be sure to use the right gauge extension cord, since you should be using a slightly higher gauge cord than the standard extension cord most folks have around the house. My 2 favorite features of this saw over previous ones I've used are the built-in sharpener and the quick stop after the the throttle is released compared to a gas-powered chainsaw. As soon as you release the trigger, the chain stops spinning immediately because of the electric motor. Standard feature of most of these electric chainsaws, but worth mentioning here for anyone not familiar with it.Bottom line...I needed a chainsaw to get through some backyard cleanup of logs and tree stumps. For the price of renting a chainsaw for a few days, I got this Oregon chainsaw that got the work done, and now I own it for future use.
I have a Proyama chainsaw, and I will say that this Proyama chainsaw is better than my Stihl and Husqvarna ones. It has plenty of power and it's easy to maintain. There's no kickback at all and even with the included chain it cut pretty quick and very clean. using the included chains I cut some pretty large logs. It's certainly not light and could probably be a little better balance but I don't do this for a living so I'm fine with it. The two bars are a very well built and very sturdy. Idle is perfect out of the box. Chain brake works and is essential. The included safety equipment actually does a good job. The ear muffs and face mask are not the best quality material but they both will certainly protect your hearing and most definitely your face from flying chips. The face mask screen unexpectedly heavy duty. The gloves at best will keep any sweat off your hands and prevent it from slipping. The gas can is very handy! I can't speak for professional use but I will say I highly recommend this Proyama saw for home use and I would most certainly get one again if I needed. The value of this chainsaw is amazing and takes less than 1/2 of the name brands and does just as good or better job.

So what? Which of the 3 will still be relatively trouble free after a 1000 hrs? I'd bet not the blue one. I reckon 084s and 088s are more fun for the Stihl enthusiast anyway
After 1000 hrs? Probably none of them. If its putting money in your bank account every time you fire it up, then it's worth investing money into a more expensive piece of equipment in hopes that there are fewer issues with them. If it's not putting money in your pocket, or if you don't run it full time, then it's probably a good business decision to spend 1/3 of the money. Realistically, I'm not sure how many people who run big saws run a 120cc saw full time. What I've seen is that people will use a 90cc saw most of the time, and then run a 100cc or 120cc saw only as needed. Then again, its not my money so spend it and run it like you stole it :)
With the large clone of the Stihl ms881 there is really no need for a 3120 clone. There are similar power output. But it’s not a Husky. I myself would buy a Husky rather than using a free Stihl. A lot of people acquired a poor taste for Stihl when they were first produced. You have to keep in mind they were the first plastic covered saw. All that we had was big heavy Homelites, Poulans and Macs. They took a beating. Any Stihl repair place had a pile of broken housings and back handles the size of a deep freezer out back because they broke so easy. After a few years and several hundred in repair bills, people stopped tossing them around and abusing the saws so much.
