    I only need to say thank you , you're te coach i didn't know that i needed , but I can now i understand my deck better .... but I will keep my snorlax instead of second cramo because klara make it still usefull monoprize killer for those V max users and big hp pokemon that still facing where I play .

    Very insightful thanks!! Thoughts on teching in Pidgeot V? Useful to remove two prizer while still going seal stone activation, great escape rope target so you can remove damage, and prevents deck out

    • @jamesctcg
      @jamesctcg  Před rokem +2

      Yeah I really like it, preventing deck out doesn’t really matter, and I found it was very rare you actually remove damage, but the extra seal stone user is very good in mirror, we thought playing second cram would help slightly more but it’s very close.

    What tech cards would you put into the deck for the best possible Lugia matchup? Spiritomb?

    • @jamesctcg
      @jamesctcg  Před rokem

      Spiritomb isn’t great in this deck but it’s probably one of the best techs, kyogre is the best tech for sure.

    Can u tell me? How to win magnezone vstar without sky steal and zapdos. Its hard to play when they knock manafy with magnezone v then use vstar knock 2 comfey. Its hard to play smoothly when saw this matchup.

      It’s tough but the idea is just to use dragonite a lot

  • @natestreo
    @natestreo Před rokem

    Agree with all your input. Lugia has been a bear. Thankfully, it’s dying off. Unfortunately, Arc/Dura and Arc/Tina lists are filling in where Lugia fell off. Those matchups feel pretty tough when opponent doesn’t bench many lower HP Pokémon. Hard to get through the big guys whilst being judged. Any input?

    • @jamesctcg
      @jamesctcg  Před rokem

      Yeah I think arc piles will get worse over time but yeah they are basically just as tough matchups as Lugia. Feels like the best chance against them is turn 1 dragonite going second or turn 2 dragonite going first

    Watched your video, had only been playing the TCG for only about 1 ½ months, and went 3-1 at my first TCG competition ever and my only loss was a massive brick. Thanks for all the advice!
    I was wondering if you do any sort of coaching. I would REALLY love to become a player to be reckoned with, even if it is just on a local level.

    Whats the best strategy for urshifu and duraladon?

    • @jamesctcg
      @jamesctcg  Před rokem +1

      urshifu if they are inteleon the main goal is to raikou kill inteleon vmax and then find the other prizes using dragonite and sableye. Against duraludon just use dragonite as much as possible

    Can you give me your take on how to tech for Vulpix? I’m thinking about Golurk-V + belt or defiance band

    • @jamesctcg
      @jamesctcg  Před rokem

      Mimikyu ex and path are in my opinion the best techs, mimikyu ex just kills it, and path can shut off zacian to kill it. Mimikyu takes up less space as you can replace zacian for it, but path is more useful in the mirror

    2 cram and 4 water vs 1 cram and 5 water? I'm wondering if 9 energy total might be too little.

    Would putting in that trap Mawile to turbo lz help with any matchups? Or just take the L with lugia

    • @jamesctcg
      @jamesctcg  Před rokem +1

      We tried mawile extensively, the issue is that if Lugia knows you have it it doesn’t really do anything, and if they play Thornton you can lose a game you should otherwise win so it doesn’t really feel worth it

    • @jamesctcg
      @jamesctcg  Před rokem

      Mid supporters that aren’t incredibly strong just end up being worse than colress. Klara wouldn’t be played if it wasn’t absolutely neccessary. Boss and Roxanne are the only examples of supporters that are strong enough to even be considered in lost zone

    • @gabrielcastillo9745

      Most times it just becomes a liability. The only usefull scenario for Hawlucha is tagging double Comfey so you can take 2 out with Sableye. Usefull, sure, but it is not worth the trouble of wasting a bench slot.
