Haemoglobin is a red coloured iron containing pigment present in the RBCs.
Its an extra info actually
*Haemoglobin is a protein too
Which actually makes the blood red...
It is composed of 4 chains 2 alpha and 2 beta each with a heme like group...
So Haemoglobin is a protein pigment!

In biology,globin refers to any protein which has got globular structure....so if it's haemoglobin, it's a globular protein with haem protein ...methaemoglobin is a globular protein with metabolised haem pigment,.....immunoglobin means another globular protein with a prominent role in immune system
