So Creality created yet another printer K1C correcting most of the issue that customers pointed out in the first K1, K1 Max releases. Sad that people need to keep purchasing the next version of something for a printer to work properly. Same old Creality regardless of the logo change They need to clean up the product line. BTW K1C sounds a lot like that KFC fast food.

Yep. Pretty much taking a page out of the big brands play books. Apple, Samsung, etc. Constant ideation and movement. It’s good but has the downside you described.

@@3DPrintSOS Creality is a big brand and they have always done this kind of release, get feedback, increment product name or number, rerelease, repeat. Just because others do this is no excuse. Just think about the time frame of the K1, K1Mac releases. All the other big box companies at least wait over a year to scew the buying public.

@MrDonXX Not saying it’s the right thing to do, but I’m glad they are improving things. Almost how I expect a new version of my car the next year, I want that happening in this industry too. The thing is though, I don’t think this makes the K1 or K1 Max obsolete. They are still great machines. Both of mine are printing just fine.

Don't need the grease on the X rods. They have graphite impregnated brass bushing. They are meant to run dry. It will be a bit noiser dry but it will run better. The grease is a big part of why the x has a bad result on the resonance test. Makes the bushings bind.
You can also remove the springs in the printhead that sit behind the strain relief bracket and replace with softer, cut down ballpoint pen springs to make the x even cleaner.
The K1 Max is not US only lol. I have one.

Its styrene that does the poisoning and the carbon filters arent do you that much an exhaust fan and a circulating fan would help you a ton along with those filters techically for carbon theres a flow to carbon ratio and were just throwing carbon and fans together for our machines

I had high hopes for the "quick nozzle change", it's been a painful experience on the K1 Max. Not just slow but I had serious doubts how many changes the nearby connections would survive without snapping off. So far it doesn't seem like a particularly smooth design on the K1C either.

I will definitely look into this further as I couldn't get it done in the live stream. Which is quite telling to be honest. Im not sure what makes it quick if there are two tiny screws + two connections with TINY connectors to undo under a shroud.

It looked like the tools had a socket wrench? i would guess that the long nozzle in the pic threads in and can be replaced using the socket wrench.@@3DPrintSOS

Yeah, I totally didnt understand it based on the marketing. You are supposed to be able to just unscrew the nozzle outward and it comes out with the built in heartbreak. Thats what they meant by quick change. Previously to get to the PTFE tube above the nozzle, you had to remove the extruder as well. So this IS faster…but the marketing was just way off in my opinion.@@paulv69

@3DPrintSOS I believe that the nozzle just unscrews and pulls out

    Hi,
Are you using Orcaslicer with your Creality K1C?

@@3DPrintSOS Im having difficulties with printing while using PETG filament.
Have you had a chance to print with this filament?
By any chance, would you be able to share your Orca slicer settings?
      Thx!

I refuse to believe that Creality can produce an extruder that does not cause clogs, hell the first three extruders that came with the K1 were lemons and could not print consistently, Creality have made some iffy claims in the past though, one that springs to mind is their claim that they designed Creality Print from the ground up.

K1 max has a larger print volume. 300×300×300 I think.

I print from dry box, I like how they supply hardware for side mounted spool holder, attention to detail.
