His counter grappling is top notch. Most people think, you sprawl the double leg to defend the takedown. Alex thinks, unconscious people can't double leg. 🤔
I don’t know about Portuguese, but in Spanish, polémico is used much more than controversial so I assume it’s probably the same in Portuguese and he just defaulted to that cognate.
This is exactly what DC, Bisping and Weidman should have said. Yes Alex's wrestling is non-existent, and he skipped the line. But at the end of the day, his success is his success because he wins fights.
What ?! This IS what DC said about Pereira. Maybe not verbatim, but has the same meaning. He said something like "It's crazy to me that he made this sport that i trained so hard for, looks so easy. You can be just so good at one thing and you're 2 division champion". Which meant the same thing, more or less.
DC has mostly been trolling, though. Sometimes he comes off as a little passive aggressive in his approach (then again, so do many others including Bisping and weidman), but from what I've seen, he's mostly joking and gives Poatan his credit. weidman comes off as more salty and resentful like the evolution of the game is passing him by, which when you think about it, it kind of is. I haven't heard what Bisping's said yet.
He’s just SOOOO many levels ahead of everyone else at 205 when it comes to striking, if they don’t get him down immediately they’re automatically at a huge disadvantage. Plus he’s got the touch of death in his left hand

@@maxk880Well it depends honestly. If you reach stardom on the UFC you'll get paid more than any other kickboxing or MMA promotion.
