He needs to be under a neurologist Memory Care dr. Never been properly diagnosed? They absolutely need to be certified you must go through the Alzheimer Foundation you have to take classes that teach you how to treat and talk do you know what kind of Darkness this extremely kind hearted poor man lives everyday. They make every kind of ear technology he should not suffer with hearing loss. They have hearing implants now..

Although Grandpa's hearing is not the best it can be a sort of blessing in disguise.
I was once a garegiver to an elderly lady with dementia but perfect hearing. Many times a day she'd hear something like a cupboard being closed and immediately call out "is that you Doris?" Doris was her sister that had passed away 10 years earlier and they hadn't lived together since childhood.
Sometimes I'd remind her but often I'd just give an answer that made her happy. She'd ask me to tell her if I saw Doris and of course I promised I would.

My neighbor's mom had dementia and would often ask her daughter when she'd visit her in the nursing home if she'd seen their family members recently(many who had died decades earlier). The daughter finally decided it would be better just to say she had and that they were doing fine so her mom wouldn't get distraught anew with grief each time. Her mother asked my neighbor if she'd visited her grandparents recently(her mother's parents who both were dead). My neighbor answered yes, they were doing fine and she'd been out picking blackberries with them and making pies. Her mother slammed down her fist and said "Aha! You're the crazy one!. Mommy and Daddy have been dead since the 1960s and it's February and snowing. Everyone knows you pick blackberries in August!"😮

God bless him. And Dan. And Danielle. When both my mom and grandma had Alzheimers, my husband made the analogy that it is like all your memories are on bookshelves and then something comes along and chops the shelves into pieces. Your memories may be on the top layer or not. God bless you. Your dad will know your kindness and thank you for your loving care. Best wishes in the New Year. We are all pulling for you! 💙💙💙💕💕💕👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This one may be the toughest one so far. I’m sure we only see the rated G stuff. Does Mark say everything is at Dan’s??? I would love the answer. ❤My heart goes out to your family. My mother became physically angry, and needed professionals. I watch this as theropy, to remind myself that I made proper moves, along the way. I’m terrified of being a burden. Thank you for sharing Ed’s journey. I never laugh; I pray for y’all’s sanity. 😊

I was wondering the same thing if Grandpa when at Mark's asks the same question about Dan, keys, cars and etc. I'm guessing he does. I just love him his is sweet grandpa. Dan and Danielle I pray for the you two and Mark for strength and patience. Sadly this disease doesn't affect just one person it affects all. My grandma she had some memory loss. But, she passed away by an aneurysm in her brain before her memory loss got worse. 😥 Blessings to you all 🙏💫

Hey guys, why don’t you just give him fake keys, he won’t give up trust me, my dad was doing same thing! He was obsessed with his wallet and keys. We gave him fake ones and he was the happiest kid on a planet 😅
My dad was diagnosed with rapidly progressive frontal lobe dementia when he was just 52. He is 72 now and every day if not every minute we saw how he is declining😢
He is still alive mostly because my family is taking care of him.
