- We've been meaning to go on a trip somewhere in Tasmania during the summer/christmas school holidays period so we decided to spend the day checking out some of the attractions at Launceston.

i went there in 2022 and it was recovering from a flood with all the rain fall so almost no one was there
Where I live it regularly gets below freezing and these chairlifts are normal to me, as someone who goes skiing. The ones I ride don't even have the bars. They go much faster than this
I've been skiing in Vermont and the chair lift was a lot scarier and higher. Of course it was a "real" mountain not a tiny hill :)
Haha, this chairlift was the most I think I could handle, any higher or faster and I'd freak out :P

I'm not sure if I could deal with the mid-30s, let alone 45C.
In the UK with our generally mild weather, and occasional heat waves in the summer, our homes don't have air conditioning and are built to retain heat. So that plus high humidity, makes for some uncomfortable nights sleep.
Haha, I hate anything more than 20c during day time, but when I'm sleeping at night, my room must be exactly 25c. If let's less than 25c, even just 24c... I wake up with a cold (blocked nose, sore throat). If it's more than 25c, it's too hot to sleep, literally I need that exact temperature to the degree in order to sleep :P

We are under a polar vortex here in Canada and temperatures are -45C 😃
Before I come to Canada I also didn't experience anything below 0c, and I always wondered if there is a difference between -10c and -20c because both are too cold. Well, I came to Canada and experience them all! When it gets that cold it feels like burning! really.

Not that it's a normal temperature but just to give you perspective that maybe 39 is not so bad. Here in Boston we had a snowstorm yesterday and it is currently -16 celcius and of course dark before 5pm
The snow storm makes all the difference, now THAT would be torture! Wind + cold temperatures is unbearable! And, I'm referring to "cold" as 7-10c (positive, not negative) as I've never experienced colder than that.
You've got extreme temperatures! Here in France, we got ~-4 celcius & everyone is shocked. xD
@@MysteriousFoxy87 Not really extreme we get a few days every winter like this. Yesterday was 3 Fahrenheit. It will even go sub 0 Fahrenheit once in a blue moon.
