Peter Baumann (born 29 January 1953) is a German musician. He formed the core line-up of the pioneering German electronic group Tangerine Dream with Edgar Froese and Christopher Franke in 1971. Baumann composed his first solo album in 1976, while still touring with the band, and embarked on a solo career in 1977. He founded the record label Private Music. Since the early 2000s, Baumann has devoted his time to studying and promoting initiatives in science and philosophy that shed light on the human condition.

I loved this lp, strange change from dark TD style but cool.
Album sostanzialmente banale poiché molto tendente alla corrente commerciale di quel tempo. Diversi e di gran lunga superiori , sono invece i suoi lavori antecedenti. Soprattutto i Dischi primo e terzo. Decisamente molto affascinanti. Grande Peter!

Wow, what happened to the mysterious beauty of Trans Harmonic Nights?
I love Trans Harmonic too, but I think if one listens to it, then Repeat Repeat, this album is a logical progression of something Peter wanted to do, with other talented musicians in the synthpop field. It's not TD, no, but on it's own this is a great album I think.

I know what you mean. I loved TDream, Schulze, Baumann, Roach, etc., so I bought this as soon as it came out having no idea what it was like. My immediate reaction was utter disappointment. I wasn't into synth pop at all. That said, the title track was kinda catchy,, Be Mine could have been a top 40 hit, and welcome was a musically rich tune to close with.. Despite my initial reaction, I played this record every couple months for years. It was a blast to hear it again.

I think it's obvious that "Welcome to joyland" is the logical predecessor to this album......
I hate this pop sound, thankfully I just realized he came back to his roots with the Album Machines of Desire from 2016 a great album!
