I think the whole disney company has become so complacent with disney+ that it has induced such a mediocre lvl of entertainment from the company that the only chance they have of getting their heads back above water is to get out of the steaming business altogether. Without disney+ disney will be forced to make better content again or no studio with lease the product for them. But while it's locked inside the disney+ vault all they can do is burn money they screwed the pooch on streaming it's time to go back to the old fashioned model, cause if no other streaming platform wants a show on the lvl of acolyte. Baby Reindeer is actually a very, very good show, deeply personal, well written and with amazing actors. It's well worth the watch (unlike, say The Acolyte).
The Acolyte looks more like a photoshoot for Vogue! And I mean that even Ahsoka had more world building than the Acolyte, and that's saying a lot. Even the original Lucasfilm video game for the Knights of the Old Republic had so much world building & lore creation within it, it pulls you into the story and the characters lives. I'm going to absolutely hate it if Skeleton Crew is nothing more than a bunch of people talking about things on board of a ship who occasionally go outside, swat some bugs and run across some strange creatures that want to sniff underwear.

"Review Bombing" is insulting. REMEMBER, people tend to engage online, naturally, more when they're upset than when they're happy. What Disney is claiming isn't normal may simply be the normal % increase in feedback that happens when people really, really find something mediocre. I don't find anything woke, too sexually weird, etc. with Acolyte. I could rant for hours how terrible it is without ever mentioning sexuality or gender once. It's genuinely bad writing and film making.

It’s there if you Google “Screen Rant streaming ratings Acolyte”. I think WDWPro had it right initially and then they erroneously interpreted it as comparing the first two eps to the third but as the article itself states the figures are highly confusing

i think its even funnier that people arent even hate watching the show. at first, people watched to hate because they couldnt believe how bad it was (like the halo tv show) but everyone expected it to be bad so nobody will watch it regardless if they wanted to or didnt want to like it
"Review Bombing" is insulting. REMEMBER, people tend to engage online, naturally, more when they're upset than when they're happy. What Disney is claiming isn't normal may simply be the normal % increase in feedback that happens when people really, really find something mediocre.
I don't find anything woke, too sexually weird, etc. with Acolyte. I could rant for hours how terrible it is without ever mentioning sexuality or gender once. It's genuinely bad writing and film making.

This show is so poorly written, it hurts to think about it. They did no research and didn't even bother with common sence. It gets what it deserves.
I enjoyed the reviews of ROP much more because we all loved LOR. The Acolyte well the IP of Star Wars was already destroyed so yeah nobody cares anymore. The best thing Disney can do now is go out of business so that 20 years from now we can start trading Disney memorabilia.

To be honest, maybe this is why you should never let a Reddit Karen be the one in charge. Reddit Karens they have value as much as a child but forget that they aren’t a young child anymore. As soon as there is a minor touch, video evidence, or something said that they won’t let them get their way they result into false protection mode, over acting, and/or pretending to be the victim, which as comical as it is it will still not help them get what they want. If you see a Reddit Karen it’s better to just ignore them or walk away because Reddit Karens are basically narcissist, they don’t understand actually feelings and only set rules for their own enjoyment. However, what they don’t know is that those rules also implies to them too because they believe that they are above the rules or the law. What they think is basically false the rules and law is actually above them. Even if they are the ones that make the rules they still have to follow the rules they make otherwise it will be criminal negligence and companies will investigate. It is pretty clear that Lucasfilm needs an investigation of criminal behavior. They need to set a stronger ruling system that can control the narcissist Reddit Karen in charge of Lucasfilm to actually get what people actually want or to let them go without any fanfare.

The funniest thing is most of the views for the Acholyte are all the people hate watching and making fun of it. I keep trying to tell people, don't watch it, watch this channel and Nerdrotic and the like to get the info from the huge dump Disney is taking on film and calling it star wars. I know our kids love Bluey, my kid loves Bluey, but gotta cancel that D+ sub.

I think at this point it’s all intentional. I think they hate Star Wars fans so much they don’t care about making a good show they just want to put things in to make the fans mad. At this point I think Lucasfilm is Sid from the original Toy Story.

Nothing but love, Lorn, but there is no way it's gonna get down to 6 or 7%. The math isn't there. Every percentage drop gets tougher and tougher. There would need to be roughly 10,000 negative reviews dumped into it with zero positive. Nobody is gonna be watching this thing in another couple weeks. It'll stop at 11 or 12%
