Awesome content, thanks so much for taking the time to test these builds!! Getting my down-state reps in, hopefully fewer with your help!
My god what timing! I just made a tempest after realizing in 3v3 they are gods and Im sitting here at the target dummies trying to figure all these combos out. Refresh youtube and here this video is. Have a like sir.
I know that the Focus version is better but i love using the Warhorn. I like to put out more burst healing and focus on positioning so that i dont get burst down.
Just yesterday, i was looking for a support build on ele. Thanks for providing such an educational video again!
Thanks for your video, clear explanations and accessible for each to try to implement it. Kind regards.
Love this indepth info about HOW to use your tools and not just "take this tool" Can't wait for more!
Time to get back to Tempest practising. Hopefully some day I'll be good 🤣 Thank you your amazing guides sir. I love how great you are at explaining things always and make it seem like easy and accessible enough for everyone. You're one of my favourite content creators. Cheers 🎉
Nice, going to try this one!
One of my fave sPvP builds! Sigil of soldier is best for the earth variant imo. It provides condi cleanse on shouts for your heal, aftershock and rebound if you run that.
Just tried this build out and I'm having so much fun (this is coming from someone who just went into spvp for the first time cause of the decade of the dragon achievement 😭😭😭)
I've taken this similar build into WvW but used Warhorn instead with the Alac trait (since Warhorn earth 4 extends boon duration and is fantastic with Alac) for massive success. Mainly stuck with Earth for more survivability in zerg fights, but all the support you give with Auras and Alac can turn most team/zerg fights.
Thanks a lot Vallun 👌✔💯
The best specialization there is! I may be a bit biased though as a Tempest one trick 😅
I play staff aura share support tempest with shouts. The amount of auras is crazy plus some CC skills makes it really fun. Though it has been a year or more since I played it lol
good vid, ty
Hi newbie in gw2. Loving your videos. Is this tempest build viable in wvw? Or there are better support for wvw? Thank you
very viable
Only thing I would add, is you absolutely HAVE to get used to weapon stowing in Tempest. If you cast the revive glyph, and the person gets killed, you weapon stow to stop it, otherwise, enjoy that 130 second cooldown. In most PvP matches, you get maybe 3-4 casts of that spell. Wasting one of them, is the fucking worst. LoL
I also love when thieves teleport away from the gliph at the last splitsecond, then blame you for not ressing. (tip: use earth attunement glyph for dumb thieves xD)
GENIUS
I remember if use mist form while casting revive will interrupt revive?
These support tempests are great trolls to have in WvW. They lead the charge in a wall breach and soak up the damage from the welcoming party. They are incredibly hard to kill in group fights.
awesomeee
I'm relatively new to the PVP side of the game and I'm still learning the lingo. What does "peeling" refer to?
CC'ing enemies so that they cant hurt your team. CC = slows/stuns/AoE fields that cut off paths, etc.
@@iRoXsOxAlOt thanks!
think of an orange peel, your allies are the squishy fruit inside and the enemies are the peel, you peel them off by getting them to stop being in contact
i have skill retargetting but it dosnt work the way u should it. cant explain further in detail?
did you also enable instant ground targeting?
Why glyph of renewal over Water Signet? it's only 20 sec cooldown for same effect, right?
water signet revives 5% of your downed health
@@Vallun oh how much does glyph get?
@@mmissing3 100%
hi. is ur freshair dps tempest still viable?
yes but check guildjen.com build page for the updated version
My favourite! I have 85% WR on staff support tempest.
Is this build still viable for the current pvp meta?
its viable but now staff seems to be more powerful, check the build page for all the variants
Didn't realize Sunspot and Healing Ripple work on Overloading, Because Rock Solid doesn't work on Overloading. or is that just me?
the earth one does, but its a cripple that already occurs naturally from the earth overload so its negligible
Can something like this be adapted to PvE? Looks so fun!
a support build for tempest can be found in the raid build section of guildjen.com
@@Vallun I will check it out. Thanks! Love your videos.
the rotation: with both your left and right hand make sure to react within 2 miliseconds to animation canceling your aura swap while then real quickly looking up towards the sky and briefly telling what the fuck is this and then immediately use another fire aura right after and swap to earth to press all the buttons in the house in the next 2 seconds. Have fun people!
stage 1 is rough
Who got clickbaited by the staff tempest in the thumbnail here? I did ...
sorry dude, i just like the staff on this toon xD as much as i wish staff support was good again
IMO the fire variant is better for ranked because its way more healing to carry pugs you just need to get better at kiting to survive and earth it’s just bunker useless without coordination and that’s something you won’t have in ranked anyway
Yea, that's exactly what he said at the beginning, but different words. 😅
Tempest is the class that I can't seem to put down. A D/WH auramancer tempest was my go-to for a while, then I started to really want the utility of focus at the expense of less boon generation.
Also, fix staff pls Anet.
:D
there is basically no bad ele spec in pvp environments and that includes wvw too ofc. guardian is almost there too. favourite children of anet. poor thieves, warriors and mesmers cry in the corner. the rest are ok kinda.
teh fuck you talking about? Bladesworn and Spectre have been dominating PvP for the last few months. Watch some recent tournaments, 4/5 players on top teams are either spectre or bladesworn.
@@JK192837 the rest of their specs suck though. and just because some elite players dominate pvp doesnt mean the classes are fine. warrior in wvw does very little dmg atm
@@frickxnas Oh, so even if one spec is totally dominating, if another spec sucks then the class as a whole can be said to "cry in the corner" ? Do you apply the same logic to core-Ele and FB I wonder? Speaking of PvP, not WvW.
@@JK192837 sorry i cane back from a few months break. havent played much pvp and i see values are quite different. shouldn't have talked much about pvp but wvw warrior and thief definitely suck now. but to an extend yes. if one class has ore and two specs totally useless and only one is good in two modes and useless in the third then cries in the corner. all ele especs are really powerful in wvw and maybe not as broken anymore but good in pve too.
