  • Sambar, we do with different vegetables.. If we use bottle guard, it makes the consistency very thin,.. Let us see how to make a thick, tasty sambar using bottle guard.
    This will be nice for rice, idly dosa. The amount will be enough for 6,7 person.
    Ingredients
    Thour dhal - 250 gm
    Bottle guard - 1 (500 gm)
    Small Onions - 15
    Garlic - 8
    Tomato - 1 large
    Tamarind - lemon size
    Sambar podi - 3 tsp
    Coriander powder - 1 tsp
    Chilly powder - 1 tsp
    Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
    Oil, salt, curry, coriander leaves.
    Steps
    Wash and soak dhal for 20 minutes. Cook along with water, turmeric powder, little castor oil., or any cooking oil., for 4 whistles.
    Take out the dhal cooked water and can use it for making rasam.
    Mash the dhal and keep aside.
    Cut vegetables as shown. Add Onion, garlic, vegetable, to Mein the cooker, add salt and cook for 2 minutes. Don't add any water. Add all powders, Tamarind pulp, cook for one whistle.
    After 3 minutes, take out the steam and open. Add mashed dhal and allow it to boil. In oil fry mustard seeds, red chilli, hing, curry leaves and add. Add coriander leaves, mix and switch off.
    Yummy thick bottle guard sambar is ready, enjoy with rice along ghee. Share this video with your family and friends.. Send me your feedbacks..
