The FAB-1500 weighs 3,417 pounds and equipped with laser and satellite guidance. It can be launched by the Su-34, Su-30, and Su-35 aircraft from a distance of 60 to 70 kilometers." The ODAB-1500 is a thermobaric weapon that obliterates troops and light vehicles over a 500 sq. meter area with significant, decreasing damage further than that. Attacks on oil refineries inside Russia will some, but minimal effects to Russia itself as countries like China and India have their own refineries and will gladly buy more Russian crude and refine it themselves to sell around the world. Plus, Russia is a major exporter of refined oil products such as kerosene, automotive fuel and diesel, machinery diesel, etc. around the world including to the U.S. which is only going to further hit the american public in inflation. It will not have the negative consequences the neocons wish for, but they will never learn their lesson.

      The bridge deck atop Staryi Saltov Dam was first blown by UA in early 2022 to impede the Russian advance on Kharkiv city. Then it was blown again last year, I dunno who. Do note that if the underlying dam is damaged it will take some time for lake surface to reach the new level, exposing the formerly submerged top of the damaged dam. So that's not necessarily a repair we're seeing. It's just like reefs being exposed by a falling tide.

      The "other side" (a bit more complex than that, but let's not go for too long) only has two ways of "quickly" ending this war. One is extremely dangerous, costly and they are probably wise to not attempt it as frustrating as it may be for some of their fans, while the other would arguably not really end the conflict at all while costing them way too much and probably start another war in the Pacific.

    Russia always starts wars weak and ends them strong. This one looks to be no different.

  • @lonestar1233
    @lonestar1233 Před 28 dny +6

    Russia has moved from active defense to aggressive attrition in the Ukraine War. Both overall strategies are intended to attrit the Ukraine military. Attrition of the Ukraine military remains the overall goal of the Russian military.
    Attrition of Ukraine forces has increased from 600 to 900 soldiers per day in 2023 to 1,200 to almost 2,000 soldiers per day in the past two months. Attrition of key Ukraine military equipment, especially artillery, has also significantly increased. If Ukraine activates 100,000 added, poorly trained soldiers in the next 3-months, that number of Ukraine soldiers and more will have been attrited in the same period.
    Aggressive attrition has been enabled by three major factors. The first is the growth in the size of the well trained, experienced and coordinated Russian military forces, and growth in available equipment. This growth allows very measured attacks at many points in the Ukraine lines which increases Ukraine attrition, without greatly increasing Russian personnel losses.
    The second factor that enables aggressive attrition is the major increases the quantity of all types of Russian munitions. These increases allow attrition of the Ukraine forces that are brought into range by the Russian advances. The availability of, for example, smart glide bombs of several types and sizes, attack drones, smart artillery shells, and observation drones has increased by 10X or more in the past year. These weapons make Russian offensives devastating to the Ukraine troops in the path the Russian offensives.
    The third factor is the cumulative effect of attrition on the Ukraine forces in quality and quality. Fewer soldiers, fewer well-trained soldiers included NCO's and officers, fewer munitions and less equipment are some of the factors affecting the Ukraine military. Increasingly Ukraine has islands of defense, instead of a more continuous line with strong points. This allows Russian pincer operations around Ukraine forces with inevitable outcomes.
    Russian offensives in new areas that lack well established defenses force Ukraine bring better trained troops and reserves to repeal the attacks. This subjects these more qualified troops to high levels of attrition. An example of this effect is the current Russian Kharkiv offense. Relatively few Russian troops, supported by overwhelming firepower, are attiring some of the best Ukraine troops at a rate of 1% to 2% per day.

I had the original thread comment then the channel owner answers me. And I couldn't post a reply. Literally tried like 10 times. The message gets deleted even if I post something neutral " Thanks, it was helpful". Every message got deleted in that thread from me. Though, I did check that I can still leave a new message under those videos. But for some reason can't answer anyone... Pretty sure there's this soft core censoring. That if youtube decides. Half of your messages get deleted automatically if he deems your previous messages not following the pushed down agenda...

    3:00 That's definitely a dam, not a bridge (though it had a road on it). The difference with a dam is that it's solid concrete all the way to the lake bottom, so any gap you see is temporary water rushing over the broken top, until the lake has drained to the new level.
    A repair could be done, but with a dam that's more like repairing the top of a wall.
