- Spiders in vanilla Minecraft can be pretty boring. This mod completely changes that. With this mod installed spiders can walk on walls, the ceiling, and everywhere in-between. Enjoy!

I always thought you did a voiceover for all of these videos, but when that spider knocked you off and you said "ow" that was so unexpected and hilarious for some reason.

*Fun Fact:* Spiders are actually ALWAYS on ladders.
This is how they can climb walls but can't go upside down.

What does it do?
That last shot with the horde of spiders coming after you was genuinely scary. I can imagine starting a survival world and being attacked by them at night then dying and giving up on life.
Imagine a Doom-esque scene where spiders are crawling up to you
add the mod with the animation of spiders have joints
Can confirm. I have this mod installed and I decided to go into a cave, and it felt like a jumpscare because it was on a wall 7 blocks away from the entrance when it decided to attack me. It was less intimidating once I knew it was a spider, but it was still eerie.
Imagine mineshafts.. the cave spiders running through webs on on side if you while you slowly break webs trying to escape

The Creepers would definitely be that mod he showcased in _How to turn Minecraft into a Terrifying Game,_ silent and only exploding once you realize they're there (and maybe the camouflage mod too).

Why people at mojang don't just add this to the vanilla game? I literally can't see any downside to this
and now that it's already a mod, it won't be any hard to figure out how to code it.

The caves and cliffs update is the time to add this to the vanilla game! Imahine walling into a cave and you see spiders hanging on the cieling coming towards you!

that looks like a great mod! spiders are always the evil mobs Im least worried about. Sure, they can be annoying when the climb up somewhere to get you but they're pretty much always super easy to deal with
cant wait for this mod to be for 1.19 to add all my other crazy mods that make minecraft hard as hell. would make more terrifying with the spider change.
I don't even wanna know what a nest inside the abandoned mineshafts would be like with this mod on.
Finally! Wish Mojang would actually make spiders act more like spiders like this mod does. Also, Im surprised it took this long for someone to do this. We had mobends but that's just a visual effect.

I can just imagine a gigantic cave with a hoard of these guys crawling around and slowly surrounding me, kinda makes me think of deep rock galactic.This is another essential mod.
i would really lie to see the mo bends mod alongside with this one, spiders would truly be more of a scary mob ingame.
they should add an ability that lets them spawn spider webs in their vicinity and the cave spiders occasionally spit acid that reduces defense instead of webs
You could also add the Mo' Bends mod along with this to make it twice as scary!!

when i first got minecraft i was actually surprised spiders didnt do this my default. its almost, dare i say, lazy to just kinda have em levitate up walls with no animation or anything. would love this in vanilla
now this with the one that gives the spiders knees, that is horrifying
One thing they could add to make it even better is if they lowered themselves down on a strand of web if they are directly above you, or maybe create large webs inside of caves or forests

A little spooky, but a must have for all 1.16+ modded worlds
Its terrifying to think how gigantic a minecraft spider really is. I mean they are roughly half as tall as steve, and steave is 2 meters tall, imagine just chilling in your bed when an 3 ft tall spider jumps on you like a frickin facehugger.
Man I absolutely love this mod!
This also seems to make them a lot faster as jumping onto blocks is negated by the fact they can just constantly sprint with nothing in their way. Kinda like how IRL Spiders are fast af

What's more terrifying is a walking talking eyeball in a suit.
I like this more than the mo-bends mod. The mobends mod friggin terrifies me, but this mod keeps spiders looking vanilla, and that just makes them cool to me.
Now we need a mod that makes the spiders tiny and maybe that realistic mod that gives animals a bit more realistic animations so the spider has bendy legs and boom, we have a perfect spider.
This would work ridiculously well with the cave update

Imagine entering a dark cave, placing a torch and looking at the whole ceeling and walls filled with spiders
oh yeah, spider fountain!
This and mo-bends (if mo-bends doesn't have its own pathfinding ai to clash with this one) would be nightmare fuel.
Plus hardcore darkness or a very good shader for some extra touch
This types of details can make a game different.
Hey AHS, if it's possible, could you please make a list of mods which feature boss battles and other interesting hostile mobs
Example- that Yeti boss you were fighting in the other vid, dragons from fire & ice etc.
