Ridge has called Massimo "Father" at times but he has always called Eric "Dad". Ridge knows he's Marone by blood but he is still a Forrester by heart.
Exactly. When Nicholas Augustino Aitoro aka "Gus" found out that Alan Spaulding was "Biological" Father on Guiding Light, he never called Alan "Dad", it was always Alan. Even on the Father's Day Episode in June 2007, he thought of his Late Father Joe and said "I Miss You Pop". He and Alan wouldn't have gotten along.
It's just so funny to hear these B&B fans talk about "Massimo Marone" when this man was Stefano Dimera forever on Days of our Lives! He was beyond the "Victor Newman" of Days and came back from the dead more times than fans could count until the real actor died. That man played the role of a villain on Days, but he was the best villain in soap opera land!
@@laminage I once read a few years back that if they were to bring Massimo back, the guy who played Alan on GH would be their choice to take over the role since Joseph Mascolo passed away a while back.
@@slycat2355 I've read that. The second best villain in soap opera land they said was James Stenbeck from "As the World Turns." James and Stefano were pretty evenly matched. The edge that Stefano had over James was that Stefano had faked his death more times. Those 2 would be too much, even for Victor Newman.

It seems that storyline about Ridge being Massimo's son will NEVER be revisited in the show. In the present B&B episodes, they keep talking about how the talent for fashion design runs in the FORRESTER BLOOD.
It depends on which writer you follow. If you pay attention to the original writer William Bell Ridge is definitely Eric's biological son. The Thorne shooting and Bridget's paternity stories. If Ridge wasn't Eric's son it would have come out with these two stories. A few years later Bradley Bell rewrites Ridge's paternity. I don't know if you've noticed, but Bradley Bell has an incestuous way of writing. Changing Ridge's paternity he could put Ridge with Bridget, Rick with Phoebe and Steffy, Thomas with Ivy. Also putting Thomas and Hope together two people that have spent many years as step siblings. The writers should have brought on Massimo and the rest of the Marones as a new family to go up against the Foresters like they had the Spectras. Bradley Bell does a lot of rewrites of stories and characters and I think that he forgets that he does. Hence I think that he forgot that he changed Ridge's paternity. As far as I'm concerned Eric is still Ridge's biological son because Bradley Bell does too much rewriting for me to take him and his writing seriously.
@@msrain1235Well said. Bill Bell wrote both Y&R and B&B, and gave the reins of B&B to his son in the mid 90s. Brad Bell will never be as good a writer as his father was.
(if you watch Y&R currently) That’s how it was on Young and The Restless. Harrison called Ashland Father and he call Kyle Daddy. But then again, that was talked about and arranged first. Ridge just said it out of the blue.
Oh Ridge & Massimo, you have no idea what Eric did. He married Stephanie to give his child a name and while Stephanie's Father financed Forrester, Ridge wasn't half the Son to Eric that Eric was as a Father. Ridge sleeps with Brooke when she's married to Eric, she takes Forrester away in a Hostile Takeover, then Ridge kicks it with Quinn. Then the whole Paternity issue takes place and for Ridge it's History repeating itself since he was devastated when he finds out Bridget isn't his but Eric's.
lies. She didn't take FC in a hostile takeover. She was set to sign her rights to BeLief away until she found out they was trying to get a massage therapist to seduce her. That is why she decided against signing her rights away because rhey all tried to trick her.
So Eric didn’t anything wrong by pursuing his “son’s” ex, getting her pregnant twice and marrying her? I guess that’s just what all dads do to their sons. I think they was both wrong but Eric had no business going after women (Taylor and Brooke) that were once with his sons.

This was one of the worst writing ploys the Bells EVER put out. They wanted to hire Stephano DiMera, fine, hire him. But they destroyed the Forester family. They blew it up with this big reveal just as if they set off an atom bomb. It brought Nick and Jackie and spiced things up for a while but they could have done that with just introducing a new family into Los Angeles. With this big lie Stephanie told, it negated Eric ever having to marry her because she was pregnant. Now the Marone family is just like it never was. All traces are gone. Even the baby produced by Brookes egg and Nicks sperm. Gone! Just a nothing burger.
Nick son Jack will probably return to cause trouble at some point. Jack like the closets to a full sibling RJ have since thier father's were brother's and they have the same mom. One difference Brooke didn't give birth to him Taylor did. He wasn't even supposed to be Brooke kid. Kind of wish he could have been Taylor biological son just so that Taylor could have a kid that wasn't Ridge. I guess then Taylor kids would have a 2/3 sibling instead of RJ. Think that's what they call it when half siblings are also 1st cousins.
I have always thought that the Marones should have been brought on as a separate family like the Spectras. Plus Bradley Bell didn't follow history. With the Bridget paternity there's no way that Eric isn't Ridge's biological father.
Eric knew all along Ridge was Massimo's boy he claimed him and Stephanie just to spite the guy. Massimo is a good dad compared to Eric, who slept with Ridge's "true love "Brooke, Ridge ought to be glad he doesn't have to play "step-daddy/brother" to his "dad" Eric's children by his ex-wife. What kind of father does that to his own son. I'm glad Massimo's his father.

@@msrain1235 Like Stephanie would have let that happen...her behavior towards Eric son Thorne is indication enough for me she was hiding something about Ridge. She favored just Ridge and despised Thorne because he was just like Eric. The writer's coming to the conclusion that Ridge wasn't Eric's actually fits with Stephanie's behavior and favoritism over the years you can tell she loved Massimo Marone more and greatly despised Eric Forrester due to her treatment of her sons that represent them, but they kept her with Eric due to Stic fans despite it not being a healthy relationship blaming it on the "kids". This "rewrite" made sense unlike the retcon about Brooke and NuRidge where they try and erase his love for Taylor because the actress left. Ridge didn't love either woman it was always him obsessing over traits of Caroline Sr. between two women. Brooke looked like Caroline physically but Taylor had her goodness and spirit. Yet they pretend he loved Brooke the schemer for years when he was repulsed by her.

I hate how they rewrote that Ridge acted like Taylor or his kids sometimes didn't matter to him. I feel if they were going to ruin Taylor's character and history they should have left her dead and then they should have brought in another woman and did the love triangle. They ruined Taylor.

True, but there was never a DNA test. Ridge may have accepted Marone into his life, but Eric has always and forever will be Ridge's father because he has been there. Legally, Ridge is a Forrester.
there was a DNA test. when Ridge needed blood Eric's blood was not a match to save him. They used Massimo's blood to save Ridge because it was a match.

@@Alyanasworld, a long time ago when Ridge shot Thorne Eric gave Ridge blood and it was a match. Plus the Bridget paternity comes into play. If Eric wasn't Ridge's father that would have come out then too, but it didn't. Ridge being a Marone is a rewrite. Bradley Bell wants everyone to be related. Instead of bringing, in the Marones, as another family not related to anyone and that could be competition, for the Forresters, they had to write Ridge as a Marone. Instead of doing this they could have brought in a new character and made him Nick's brother and Massimo's son and brought back Felicia and given them a love story!
@@Alyanasworld there was no DNA test, because of the type of blood he had it would be very unlogical if Eric was his father. It was a stupid rewrite that served that temporarily storyline, but is stupid at the long run, so it would be nice if they would undo it. Though I doubt they would.

Ridge is a Forrester through and through. he found out only 15 years ago about this other guy. Eric has been his dad from day one. that is that!

cute layla ridge is only a marone by blood. He barley he had anything to do with that family. He was born and raised as a forrester his entire life and still identifies as a forrester and still looks at Eric as his true father because that’s who raised him even though he didn’t father him.

The only person that isn't related is Paris. Everyone else is related to the 3 major families one way or another.

Logan (she couldn't recall Beth's name). Eric wanted Beth but settled with stephanie for the baby's sake.

That's it. They never had a DNA test done so there's no telling, and also when Ridge had that accident, the doctor may have told Stephanie that Ridge couldn't be Eric's son, but all that was talk. There wasn't any proof that Ridge is a Marone. He could very well still be a Forrester.
Long before DNA test, they did blood test. Certain blood type don't work. If the Mother had type (A) for example, and the father had type A.. the Baby couldn't be type (B-). And if Ridge is a Forrester that means that Steffy f*cked her uncle Rick and Ridge kissed his sister Bridgette.

Rick is a disgusting character with serious psychological issues. I hated the Rick/Phoebe, Rick/Steffy pairings. Even if they're not biological brothers, Rick & Ridge were believed to be, and were raised for years, as brothers. Then Rick's dysfunctional ass decided he wanted revenge against Ridge so he dated Phoebe, slept with Steffy & Taylor and had a hand in Phoebe's death. I've hated the character since. Rick exhibited very predatory behavior by taking advantage of and using Phoebe, Steffy & Taylor for sex for revenge against Ridge. Didn't he try to kill Ridge once? Dude got issues.
