Salute to the officers who work hard to clear the snow from the roads. Thanks for sharing. 1 LIKE from Singapore.
Hi, my friend. thanks again for the kind words, have a great sunday.😀☃️
Lovely work, Ramujiro. The snow clearing crews are the heros of snowy countries, especially with how they will work through the night so everyone can continue working, studying, or just simply living.
You are right, Donna-san! Their late-night dedication and hard work is what makes our lives comfortable. I know it's cold there too, stay warm and have a wonderful day.😀☃️

Great views of the machines and trucks cleaning us the snow. Thanks for sharing with us.

Good job and a very important job it is.

Hi, my friend. thanks again for watching.☃️😀✨
Wow ❤
Hi, my friend. thanks again for watching.☃️😀✨
Your snow removal videos are exactly what I was looking for. I live in Canada and the city plan to put a tramway across the city. One of the main concern of the citizens is the management of snow along the project line. The city officials think it will be very manageable and frequently say Cities like Sapporo which get even more snow than us can do it.
I am looking for info about the whole snow removal operations.
Thanks for the great words. The same method of snow removal is used on the tram lines in Sapporo as in this video. If my video can help your work, it would be a great honor.😊🙏

I don't work on it but we are trying to provide the best info and suggestions as citizen group. If you want to see more of my city you can check here.

There is a few points that I have read about snow Removal in Sapporo and I was wondering if you could confirm if they are real.
-I have heard that a lot of pedestrian paths are heated by geothermal energy or even sprayed with hot water nozzles to melt the snow. Is that only in some places or is it widespread?
-I was also wondering what are the other means used to remove the ice. Do they use salt and sand like here or do they use something else 🤔
-I also heard about melting tanks to melt the snow with treated sewage water. Are those melting tanks used a lot? Do people have those melting tanks at home connected to their buildings or is it more industrial use for snow depots and others?
I like your videos thank you very much!
I will answer to the best of my knowledge.
-Snow melting on pedestrian streets is only in the central part of the city, and that is heated by hot water pipes, not geothermal.
-Snow melting chemicals and sand are used on roads in Sapporo as well.
-Snow-melting tanks use water from rivers and water heated by garbage incineration plants, not treated sewage water. They are located at snow dumping sites or on the sides of roads and are not connected to the buildings of individual households.
Check out the City of Sapporo's page on snow disposal. Unfortunately, I couldn't find an English version.
www.city.sapporo.jp/gesui/01yakuwari/03_genkyo07-2.html
In my opinion, snow disposal is a big problem and requires a large budget. The citizens of Sapporo opposed the Olympic bid because they were dissatisfied with the way snow removal was handled.
Thanks for the question, glad I could help.😊
