well that depends on a couple of things! No signal means monitor is not getting a signal or the graphics is not outputing a signal to monitor! so start at monitor is it set to hdmi signal in? unless you have an old system it's hdmi ok. Now if that's ok then move to graphics card if you have a graphics card installed then you have to plug in to that card. i'm not sure cause you did'nt say is this a new build? If it's not a new build and you did'nt change anything then you have an issue with the monitor or graphics on either on-board graphics or with a graphics card, depending on age of these things mentioned start with the oldest part an get a new part or a known good part from another pc and install it on the pc thats giving the trouble! OK, hope you get things sorted!

I love you brother! You solved my 9 hour endless problem! After all there was no problem, without my knowledge, I plugged the hdmi cable of the monitor to the motherboard not knowing that there was a separate hdmi socket for the graphics card. Minute five in the video gave me the idea that this could have in fact been my issue. Saying to myself, "all or nothing" as I replugged the hdmi in the gpu, and to my wonders it worked! Liked the video and subscribed! You are the man! Thank you very much.
i did not know what a vga cable was but thanks to this video, I have been able to fix my monitor. I thought the cable had broke but now I know it was just loose. Thanks
10-15 years more and everything will be connected wireless (maybe not 100% correct for large displays). I think that some kind of WLAN successor will give you access to HID devices, printers, game controllers and other stuff (shared between stations). Every little feature (communication, sharing, pairing, transmission encryption etc.) would be build-in the input/output protocols. One main hub (signal strengthening devices too) required and every piece of hardware would be shared (LAN-like technology). That might be something like: "Take your mouse or game controller with you and connect it to other PCs/laptops (without cables)". I think the LCD projectors with such connection would be cool.

Hi .. I think that vga/dvi/hdmi cables should be always connected to the motherboard when we switch our computer on for the first time, even if we have a dedicated graphic card. You need dirvers first! Am I wrong? Thanks
Hi, Your operating system will have default drivers that run everything that's connected to the PC including driver for graphics card but with very little features! So when you get into the desktop install the drivers for graphics card. if you plug in the monitor into motherboard with graphics card installed it will probably not give you an output to the monitor. So you will not be able to see what going on without monitor output! OK! need more info let me know!

My monitor doesn't have a power connector but instead it has somethinh with DC typed on it and my brother said that it probably means that it works with DC Cablew just like the ones in laptop chargers
Hi, Most monitors when they start doing that power on and then off have something wrong with the power board inside! it's more expensive to replace the power board in the monitor than simply buy a new monitor! Sorry for the bad news! Replace the monitor or at least borrow a none good monitor from someone and plug it into your PC and check that the PC is working properly and then you will know for sure that it is an issue with the monitor and not the PC, OK!
I have a problem connecting my Dell 2415 IPS monitor to a Asus BP1AD (SD310) desktop. Dell only supplied the USB cable and a DP to DP cable. Unfortunately, this model Asus doesn't have the DP port so I have to go out and get an HDMI cable for it. Not a big deal, but I think Dell should have provided the HDMI cable to begin with since it sounds like the best all around connector option is HDMI, especially in light of the fact VGA and DVI are on their way out according to your tutorial.
+John S And you are right dell should have provided the cable but that's corporation for ya bud! VGA and DVI are very much still in use most new motherboards come with them but just don't give the same digital output as HDMI it's just better all round! If there is anything i can help you with just let me Know.

all monitors have setting you can change a button on side of monitor once pressed a setting menu pops up on screen of the monitor and that will enable you to change hdmi setting on or dvi setting on
Drew Games Ethernet is a cable you plug into the back of your pc to the router ! if your pc dose not have wireless capability! That you will have to purchase if not just use Ethernet cable ! It better than wireless anyway!

I have a compatible hp computer and Dell moniter. The mouse and keyboard are Dell, and they are not working no matter where I plug them in to the computer (or moniter just to try.) I'm not sure if I need new ones, though I just made the purchase for the computer used online. It's frustrating because everything else works.
Hi hassani, Did you build the PC? If you did then unplug it from power supply and uninstall the ram and then reinstall it! Then check that you have the processor fan connected on the motherboard. Then check the processor power (4 pin or 8 pin) connection is connected. And if you have a graphics card installed! Reinstall that also! Then plug in and mains power again and see if the PC turns on! OK! If you did not build the PC then you need to bring it to someone who repairs PC's. Or if it's a new PC bring it back to where you bought it and show them the problem! Hope that helps!

Connect to the video card if you have one install, if you dont connect to motherboard. Plug in the power plug for both monitor and computer.

Do all PCs connect with all kind of monitors and keyboards ?
And can I connect a pc to a printer ?

Hi hassani, Did you build the PC? If you did then unplug it from power supply and uninstall the ram and then reinstall it! Then check that you have the processor fan connected on the motherboard. Then check the processor power (4 pin or 8 pin) connection is connected. And if you have a graphics card installed! Reinstall that also! Then plug in and mains power again and see if the PC turns on! OK! If you did not build the PC then you need to bring it to someone who repairs PC's. Or if it's a new PC bring it back to where you bought it and show them the problem! Hope that helps!

Thx I rly needed help bc I got a gaming pc and I have a keyboard and mouse but I can’t plug it in my LG gaming monitor bc it only had hdmi courts and a dpi court so this help me a lot I never knew I could plug it in my gaming pc

ضع جهاز الكمبيوتر في وضعيّته المناسبة
قم بدايةً بوضع شاشة الكمبيوتر على المكتب لديك، ثمّ ضع صندوق الكمبيوتر على المكتب نفسه بجانب الشاشة، أو بجانب المكتب، ثم ضع لوحة المفاتيح والفأرة على المكتب أمام الشاشة.
بالطبع لا ننسى أن حقيبة الحاسب يجب أن تكون جاهزةً وتم بداخلها تركيب مزود الطاقة في الزاوية المناسبة (قد يختلف الأمر حسب كل حقيبةٍ ولكن ستجد إرشادات خاصة بكل حقيبةٍ جديدةٍ) ووجود لوحة الأم وفوقها البطاقة الرسومية والمعالج والذاكرة والتأكد من اتصالها جميعًا باللوحة الرئيسية واتصالهم بمزود الطاقة، ووجود مراوح التبريد أيضًا
قم بتوصيل الشاشة
ابدأ بوصل كابل الشاشة في مكانه المناسب، حيث يوجد له مكانٌ يقع في الواجهة الخلفية للجهاز، يكون لدى الشاشة واحد من ثلاثة مآخذ إما مأخذ DVI أو مأخذ VGA أو مأخذ HDMI.
بعد توصيل كابل الشاشة الناقل للبيانات في الجهاز، قم بوصل قابس الطاقة أي طرف الكابل الآخر.
قم بتوصيل لوحة المفاتيح والفأرة
بعد قيامك بتوصيل الشاشة، اتجه نحو لوحة المفاتيح وقم بتوصيلها في خلفية جهازك، إما أن يتم توصيلهما بمأخذ USB أو بمأخذ PS/2، وعادةً ماتوجد هذه المآخذ في الجزء العلوي من خلفية الجهاز.
قم بتوصيل سلك الطاقة
قم بتوصيل أحد طرفي سلك أو كابل الطاقة في الجهاز وأما الطرف الآخر فيُنصح بوصله في جهازٍ واقيٍّ من زيادة التيار، يمكن أن يساعد واقي زيادة التيار على حماية الكمبيوتر من التلف بسبب تقلبات الطاقة وارتفاعها، مما يمكن أن يوفر لك المال على المدى الطويل من خلال تقليل الإصلاحات اللازمة.
قم بتوصيل مكبرات الصوت
تتصل مكبرات الصوت بمنفذ إخراج الصوت في الجزء الخلفي من الكمبيوتر، وهو عادةً ما يكون لونه أخضر.
توصيل الطابعة والملحقات الأخرى
إن كان لديك ملحقاتٍ إضافيةٍ مثل الطابعة وغيره فسوف تجد تعليمات لوصلها بالجهاز وبطريقة تشبه كثيرًا طريقة وصل الفأرة ولوحة المفاتيح.
وبالتأكيد ذلك يحتاج إلى تنزيل برامج تشغيل يُناسب كل جهازٍ.
قم بتحميل برنامج السوفت وير المناسب
أخيرًا بعد أن اكتمل توصيل الجهاز سوف تحتاج إلى نظام تشغيل من أجل استخدامه، هذا النظام يتواجد في جهاز التخزين الخاص بالكمبيوتر، ولكن إن كنت لا تملكه فعليك تنصيبه عبر إدخال قرص التنصيب ( أو استخدم وحدة تخزين USB) لتنصيب النظام وثم بدء الاستخدام.4
Hey,may I know in the three important connections (HDMI,VGA,DVI)do we connect them all in setting up a computer or just connect only one of what you have?
Thank you for this video. I was reconnecting a computer previous to this current one and was missing the power cable. I do have the power cable on this comp, but looks like I need to check a parts storage container or go buy a new one for a old computer. >.< Thanks again!
