My dance guru, Srimati Sudha Chandrasekhar of Hindu Temple Rhythms taught me this dance as it was taught to her by her guru, Govindraj Pillai Master and his wife, Karunambal Teacher at the Sri Rajarajeshwari Bharatakala Mandir in Mumbai, India.

You just brought back beautiful memories of my dancing days. I am the very student of Sri RajaRajeshwariBharataNatya Kala Mandir and was privileged to learn under Smt. Karunambal. I can still remember she teaching us this var am in her style. So grateful to you for uploading this video. I’ve searched for this var am for so long in this style….finally got it!!
