Please name your elephant Shirley. Shirley was in the Elephant Sanctuary in TN. One of the oldest elephants in USA. She was a survivor of another elephant attack, a circus fire, and was a survivor of near drowning when she was being transported by a ship that sunk. I loved Shirley the elephant An inspiration for us all!

I know how you feel about the red bud trees. I finally was able to get my hands on two flame thrower red buds. I love them so much. They are the first plants I check on. Your elephant looks like a Johnnie to me. Good job in the garden!

Hi Jess, everything looking so good! I purchased a red bud like the one you have from the farmer's market. Much better priced than at the box stores. Also, I purchased a gas operated auger. Is your electric auger light weight? Knee injury prevents me from actually using it myself. 😌The dewalt power auger n accessories are too pricey!
Congrats on your new redbud!🎉🙌🏾 My auger is not lightweight I actually prefer digging with my shovel vs. the auger😂

@KreatyveGardenista ....2nd look at it. It does have some male like features. My hubbin's name is Edward....his mother called him Eddie, which I never liked (🫣😵💫). His work friends call(ed) him Ed, but his nickname is Turk (long story with that). Does your BF have a nickname?

No plans for annuals other than the ones in my pots. Simply enjoying all the colors & textures of the foliage!💚💚💚 I've always been a fan of foliage over blooms🤷🏾♀️💕
Ok that's it if you came to my house and see my yard you would run away ants everywhere and Carolina creeper gets all in my flower pot and it breaks me out but I still try and have a flower bed and it's all your fault to buy I love you cause motivation is good for the soul

Is it a definite to only work on the yard during spring and summer. I had plans to work on my backyard this spring and summer. Due to a sudden death in my family, I have not gotten to it yet. Can I do it in the fall?
