SEASON 05 EPISODE 01. In this episode host, Russ Bailey is joined by B’n’M Pro Staff Kent Driscoll to pull crankbaits for Crappie on Lake Arkabutla, MS.
I have only one line counter. I will let it start to spool out and let my other reel spool along with it in their lanes. I set it then the others. They are within a couple of feet of each other.
I fish Arkabutla and Enid a lot. I have seen the right side of my boat produce 4 to 1 especially when trolling. I seriously believe the prop wash of the trolling motor has something to do with it.
I live in hernando and fish butla a lot. It’s wonder I didn’t spot that truck of yours. I have been killing crappie in the creeks that flow into butler 2 1/2 foot of water.
Great video! Appreciate your time making this and the pointers you always provide. I'm surprised I haven't ran into Kent as much as I fish Sardis and Enid. Arkabutla is a tough lake for me to figure out but have caught some BIG CRAPPIE there. I don't know if there's a better bait for me than Hotty Totty when pulling crankbaits. Always seems to out catch the other lures for me and is my favorite. Anyway, thanks again!
The white crappie school in open water in the summer, the black crappie tend to stay closer to cover so the whites are much easier to target while trolling cranks.
I wanted to see the bait colors, that's what I clicked on this video to see. I've seen people reel in fish before, if I wanted to see that I'd watch TV.
Good video - - Thank you for the catch and release. Wish my area had the same creel and length limit.
Once again Excellent show!!!

Your Feb. 2nd interview on The Buckeye Sportsman with Dan Armitage brought me here. Excellent show.

Fished there yesterday. Fish were in 14 feet of water. Bigger fish were 8-10 feet. On a big flat in 84 degree water.

I wonder why Kent doesn't use a rubberized net when pulling cranks, those treble hooks can be a pain with a regular net.
Gear check covered everything but the baits. Please share what crank bait you were using.
its in hernando not arkbutla mississippi

This is not fishing, you are on a great lake no reason to do this! 😞
