Turn 10 should laser scan this car for Horizon 5, also I think the clear lights look better than the circles, but get them smoked so they're a little darker

@@stanley4290 i dont think its legal to have amber headlights, probably something to do with them being reserved for emergency vehicles. Not 100% sure though.

Hey Caleb i think personally the dots on the lights is a little out dated for the build and maybe just taking the dots out ans smoking them out a little or leaving them clear would make the car look a lot sicker and cleaner

I would at least weld in some tube that is equal to or even hang it a little lower than the headers. Hitting subaru headers on the ground can easily break a lot of important stuff.

"Without a properly designed AOS, water condensation can develop and find its way in the oil pan contaminating engine oil. Engine coolant lines are routed through the AOS in a specially designed heating chamber. This keeps the AOS warm and prevents water from condensing inside. Because water is more dense than oil, there is an integrated water trap found around the bottom perimeter that prevents condensation from descending into the oil pan."

I was wondering about this in general about catch cans/AOS, someone showed one of a vehicle running E85 that had a rather alarming amount of water that had condensed in the catch can, no one in their right mind would pour that straight back into the engine.

I think you should see if you can find a completely clear turn signal cover (without those grooves or whatever they are) then tint it a little darker.

I'd leave the lights clear, or very slightly darkened... But at the end of the day it's your car so you should make the final decision.

The headlights slightly tilted looked kinda good ngl. Also definitely tint the turn signals black or maybe get rid of the casing cometely and leave them by themselves (if they are weatherproofed).

The clear lights r so clean, they match the light rack too and make the whole front end look proper
This is a common mod to a Yamaha yfz450r (sport quad) and it’s great, works well and it’s nice not having to clean out air box of oil after every ride
All the fabrication and you still use a spirit level to prop hood and the trunk up while working, so a set of hydraulic rams front and rear or at least the front, just a thought, the coolant lines would be better running through the cab one for safety the second they would warm up and stay warmer. Love this build, and the beauty of a build like this it will never be finished.
Almost every built car on youtube nowadays for one reason or another is missing something to keep the hood standing. I'm sure it would definitely improve the feeling that the engine bay gives to have some hood struts when you open the hood! I'm sure with your skills it would be easy to adapt something :) Keep up the great work :)

I have a Crawford AOS. It only has 5 hoses. 2 for coolant which is to avoid any condensation that would end up in the oil, 3 for oil. When mine was installed I also had stage 2 upgrades done. With 3 more psi of boost my consumption didn't increase. It stayed the same.
Circle lights are definitely better if you ask me. It creates a sort of motif with the foglamps on the roof and fits in better with the colour of the trim. People going on about "it looks more clean" as if a lifted rally-car MX5 is supposed to look "clean"

For the paint use Trac tape from the expel line up. It’s thick and absorbent of impact with things that hit it. I like it a lot.

The lights look MUCH more clean. I wouldn't mind a light tint to make them a little darker but anything uniform looks better than circles IMO.
tint the front light with spray; you can do it on the back ones too, they will look soo cool

Dude you've gotta do something about those rock chips. A clear yet durable wrap maybe on the lower section of the sides? Or just behind the wheels at least. If it's high quality soft plastic it wont tear and it'll just bounce most of the rocks right off without damaging your beautiful paintjob!
Some mudflaps would be a nice addition too.... And would protect a little bit more from the varying road conditions
if you do the ppf on the sides you should also get mud flaps. not only do they keep the cars behind you clean but they keep the body of the car free of mud and rock chips, especially with how much the tires stick out.

Put some mud flaps on, will help a lot to prevent stone chips and look good with the cars overall theme. Maybe 3m the rockers for added protection.

Gonna keep this in mind for when I make a sleeper suburban.
reason why there is coolant going to the separator is because there can be moisture in the lines and can make mayo/water in the oil and can clog. My BMW does the same thing but the separator is right on the engine block so it heats up that way.

A powersteering cooler could help keep the pump working well for longer but it's not really that important for a car vs a crawling jeep since you've got a pretty normal tire size and you're not constantly steering at a stop but never hurts to keep fluid temps in check

I vote for hood struts next lol that level was bugging me at the end, and just put hinges on the headlights so they can flap about all the time. "It has character"

The headlights look waaay better now even though the circles were the signature of the rally miata... Other than that I think you should tint them yellow and for the paint chips I would personally use some touch up paint and then PPF the whole car

You should definitely touch up the paint from the chips and PPF the whole car. And if you can you should try making a mud flap mount that is easy to put on and off the car before any events you got too.
Don't forget to lower your tire pressure when you go to the dunes

Signals need some tint. The circles were cool when the headlights were also circles, but being the main lights I think they need to be "solid".
Smoked headlights or just clear but dunno, don't dig the dot all that much, but it's your car
