Cheney High School Marching Band 2022 Baritone Cam | Ryan Knight

This is a fairly early season, pre-competition run through of our 2022 show, "As Above, So Below"! This is my first year on baritone. I have one year of marching band, (tenor saxophone) and one season of drum corps (euph) under my belt. This run was the Thursday before our first competition, 9/29/22.

Amazing run! Although I will say when your in side carry especially with euphs try to avoid sticking your fingers between the valves, and crunch the valves down instead. There’s a high chance of bending/ruining the valve stems when you have your fingers between them bc of the unintentional pressure being put on them. Disregard if you were told otherwise by BD or sum, it’s just something I’d keep in mind 👌

I love ur baritone section's sound and volume!!! What fundamentals/warmups do you do in order to get such a wonderful sound?

Thanks! We do long tones, F remington, a bending exercise, and basic articulation and lip slur exercises. We also have a lot of experience and talent in the baritone section!
