Nine of our young friends in this video are actually children of foster care, abuse, neglect, and/or adoption. Working with them made us pause to remember that each of these programs matters to THEM. In the busyness of running a top nonprofit in Colorado Springs, we love every chance (multiple times every week) to look at a child face to face and think about how we can serve effectively.
In this video, you'll see our five programs:
    - Court Appointed Special Advocates - a regular person who visits with an abused/neglected child and conveys that child's wishes to the court
    - Supervised Exchange and Parenting Time - a person who makes sure visits between parents and their kids in foster care are safe, appropriate, and fun for the kids
    - Children and Families in Transition - a required course for divorcing parents, to lessen conflict that would be detrimental to the children
    - Life Long Links - a family-finding program for children who can no longer live with a parent but would benefit from communication or making a home with kin
    - Milton Foster Children's Fund/The Hanger - a fund for enrichment activities and our Tejon St. boutique filled with stylish, free clothes for foster teens
We need volunteers for every one of these programs. Will you help? We have a position for everyone, every schedule, every skill set. Leave your email below (or message us) and we'll send you a personal reply.
