Carlos Rodon should be on a small market team with less media & fanbase expectations.
Tanner Scott, Chad Green and David Robertson...I'd be so good with it.
^ Im with ya on all but Chad Green.
David Robertson will NEVER be on this team again.
I would like to pick up Elias DĂaz from the Rockies and drop Jose Trevino. The difference in pop time and CS above average is stunning and he's hitting .296 with a .340 OBP.
RE Hal: he'll be upset when the chicken buckets and beer sales go down.đ€Ł
I keep hearing people talk about Spencer Jones but they don't mention he is striking out 42% of his at bats. In DOUBLE A.
âRelying on Volpe to be a major cog in this offense was a mistakeâŠâ Iâm worried weâll be saying this about Rice at some point too. A lot of pressure on these young guys.
I always liked Chad Green.
Derek! The Best Intro Ever! đđ
My man you rock the bald head ngl đ„
I didn't think they were going to go out and get Andrew Benintendi because the talk was that he hadn't got the Covid vaccine and didn't want to get it and couldn't get into Canada without getting it to play the Blue Jays. They got him as soon as the AS break was over, it seemed and it the shot wasn't an issue.
Unpopular opinion but I don't think we have to hang onto Soto. A Soto contract will blow up the team salary. For the same money you could fix the rest of the lineup and have a more balanced team.
I've seen a few people say that - it's not an unreasonable take, but in NY you need stars - and they want his star power to put fans in the seats.
@@NYYRecaps This is true - but there are always other fish in the sea
Nah dude, literally take the 30m he already makes then add Rizzo 17m and gleyber 15m and you sign him and more
By dropping them
Yes we did and needed that one bad. Give credit to the bullpen to hold the Rays off. We still need to face the Orioles and hope Soto and Judge break out big time hitting some bombs out. Judge hits well at Camden Yards. Cashman should consider Chisholm from the Marlins who would be a nice addition and let Torres go. Let's go Yanks!
I wonder if the steal from Juan Soto might shift the momentum? Cause the slump started June 13th and the last steal was June 14th. Also the Orioles are losing games to the Cubs and the Yankees need to win. There could be a good momentum because of this. Also the Rockies may deal catcher Elias Diaz who is batting .296 which is great for a catcher.
Soto should not be the one stealing bases!
Rodon, another great signing from Cashman, biggest bust of the last few years. Rodon is just not cut out to play in New York, he would d much better in a smaller market team.
@25:45 VLAD Hates the Yankees, he said he would NEVER play for the Yankees. So no way!
Tanner Scott would be an excellent addition to the New York Yankees' bullpen, bringing his All-Star-caliber performance and left-handed pitching strength to bolster their relief efforts. However, the Yankees should prioritize using their top prospects to acquire Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Garrett Crochet. Crochetâs high strikeout potential and ability to provide depth in the rotation make him a vital target for the Yankees' postseason ambitions.
In addition to these moves, the Yankees should consider adding Angels' Ben Joyce as another possible relief pitcher. Joyce's high-velocity fastball and effectiveness in late-inning situations could further enhance the bullpen's reliability. While adding another quality reliever and a third baseman would be beneficial for the Yankees' overall roster depth, their primary focus should be on securing a reliable closer and a top-tier starting pitcher. These key acquisitions would address the most pressing needs of their pitching staff, potentially making a greater impact on their championship pursuit.
The Yankees could of had Henderson instead they got Volpe in the first round and a guy named Josh Smith in the second round.
And they traded Smith. But everyone else missed out on Gunnar in the first round, also. The draft is hard
Pitching is đ
I would love the yankees to trade for chad green and david robinson
Amazing to think but if we win tonight we have a chance to walk out of Baltimore back atop the AL East. Fortunate position given the last month. Yanks need to take advantage of it this weekend.
Thoughts on Michael Kopech for the bullpen. Heâs been nasty last couple weeks touching 101 mph.
I like him a lot. Walks could be an issue but his stuff is tremendous.
Would love that move. He looks like a pitcher with the attitude to be a great closer
We need to jump out to a early lead tonight put up three runs in the first.
Stock up on starting pitching and let the best performers get the starts. Use the rest to fortify the bullpen. Provides insurance against injuries and positions NYY to make trades in the offseason (Rodon). Likewise get Bellinger to fortify 1B, outfield and catching (Rice if needed). Bring up Vivas to supplement infield along with Berdi.
This team has no one on the bench they can bring up for a pinch hitter other than the catchers position that can do dsmage.
Getting into the post season as a Wild Card entry is not the end of the world. The 2022 Phillies and both the Rangers and the Diamondbacks of last season all reached the World Series after getting in as Wild Card teams. The only division winner to make it to the World Series under this new format is the 2022 Astros.
A trade for Camilo Doval and Matt Chapman solves a lot of the Yankees problems.
Holmes got lucky, his first pitch was hit for a rope that got caught by Grishom
Need to make a statement against Baltimore... 2/3 would go a long way. I'm worried that Cash is going to be more passive at the deadline and the worst part is I think he might be right for doing it. Stanton for DH, Dominguez for somewhere (PLEASE), and so that only leaves 3B and bullpen and even 3B might be a Peraza situation.
I want Chisholm Jr .
One win and people think it's good
Itâs better than a loss.
Mexico would be great for Rodon
You know, the more I think about it, I think we could get some killer prospects for some of the pieces we have....hmm... but if Soto is injured, there goes that
Not only are they not going to resign Gleyber Torres but they're not going to make him a qualifying offer. The qualifying offer for 2024 was $20.325 million. If you make Gleyber that offer for one year, coming off the year he's having, he'll take it.
We pick up a 3B like McMahon, we've got a logjam of natural 3Bs, Lemahieu Berti and McMahon. Berti comes back shortly after the break and has done nothing but hit since last year. Don't need a 3B.
He's been too injury prone to count on, IMO. 2 injuries already this year.
That playoff format is no good for the Division winner Rob Manfreds exit cant come soon enough
I can't see them possibly doing enough to fix what is wrong at the deadline to bring them to the 'ship.
I wonder if the dodgers would take rondon.
Love the show always do. Me and my wife are playing MLB the Show 24 last night and you look just like the player from the Marlins. Andrew Nardi fuckin aye man good twin to have love ya dude
I wish I had his glorious hair!
@@NYYRecaps minus the hair it's your twin haha
Is DJ on the DL after last night smfh
Let Brad Ausmus take over
The only way the will ever win another world series is 1. Get rid of that clown aaron boone 2. Get rid of that other clown carlos rodon and replace him with mason miller via trade and 3. Bring up the big bats in spencer jones and jasson dominguez because behind the big 3 soto, stanton and judge the yankees lack big hitters. Imagine how many more not only homeruns but also wins for the yankees if they followed those 3 simple steps. But as long as aaron boone is still the manager and as long as carlos rondon is still dragging the team down, and the yankees don't have spencer jones and jasson dominguez on the 40 man roster then they're never gonna make a deep playoff push much less win another world series.
The worm has turned.
Can we please call up Alex Mauricio from Triple A
Yes gimme me Chad Green back
Package Torres and Trevino, bring up Ramirez, trade for BELLINGER to protect Judge.
Theyâd never demote Volpe
@davidswift7776 they don't need to, even if he were to go back to hitting as badly as he did last year, his defense and speed is still enough to make him a better-than-replacement level player. He has the third highest WAR on the team right now
Gio ?
Iâm really hoping this will be the spark for another tear
Boone doesnt manage. The front office does which is most of the problem
What color is the sky in your world?
@insert_clever_name126 the evidence for this is, where?
Just go and get Trevor Bauer.
I know right. League minimum, you could use him as a starter, long relief or short relief. Keep him locked in a cage if you have to, it's league minimum! Ridiculous that proven domestic abusers get a pass and Bauer doesn't.
Woman hater says what?
Cole and Bauer donât get along
@jacksondario-no8jb neither did Josh Donaldson, they moved past it in the first 2 minutes...
@@Nephes1988 fucking get over it that scumbag will never be in the league
Come on guy just because they won one game doesnât mean anything hoping for your wish to come true but with this lineup and this defense and offense, I donât think so
This is the same crap, year after year
