Alright so just how I see the lore to this one
- A timeline merge happens between the canon Corruption Timeline and Reimagined, (mainly just saying that because Soul BF exists here and he seems to be fully on the Corruption's Side in Reimagined if existent at all)
- The others for the most part only have to deal with conflicting memories if they remember what they did when they were corrupted and who they were fighting if not (or if they got corrupted in the first place since Girlfriend and BF get away in Reimagined after the Pico fight though that's futile for BF anyway)
- Boyfriend on the other hand, since the other timeline's him is basically dead, has to fight off Spirit from taking control of his body, this would probably take place after he uncorrupts Pico with the canon timeline.
- I have no way to give reasoning to DD's voice being here unless Spirit got the corruption to fuck off after Deathmatch and he's deciding to help BF before Pico and GF has the chance to show up

I'd change the lore here and say that spirit bf was never really there maybe a hallucination by bf because his voice sounds a bit different than usual or spirit bf was there and trying to help bf in a different reality(different reality not fnf corruption).
@@ThePossessedOne So here's some lore to untangle that continuity snarl: here in BF's mind or soul, DD represents all of BF's self-loathing. His guilt over falling to the Corruption at all, regardless of how at fault he was... the shame he feels towards his friends and one true love for what he's done... the anger he feels at Lemonhead for being the catalyst to all this. In BF's mind, he hears DD -- the greatest source of those insecurities -- say it all... and that's why we hear him alongside BF in his most weakened mental state. In those two instances, he's inches from giving in to the negativity he hears from both the invasive presence and the insecurities they're fueling. If there were actual lyrics here, I imagine they'd range from self-deprecative to self-destructive in those sections specifically.
Who knows? Maybe Soul BF helps BF realize that he and Spirit can share his body, as gratitude towards Spirit for undoing the damage that BF had caused; at least, until a better option presented itself.
Pico and GF being there to support him is something awesome!

It feels like this is meant to be a test by Spirit. Since he knows there are still others that are corrupted, he wants to know if he's up for the task. Which is why GF and Pico "show up" for support. Spirit uses them as additional support until Soul shows up and Spirit notices the strength gain. Then he ends up returning BF's body back to him.
That's what I see anyway. Awesome cover, too!

I’m bored so time to make some lore lol. The way I see it, this is in the original timeline after bf saves gf and pico. The corruption sends some random corrupted to attack bf but pico holds them off (this explains the saving your life comment he makes) bf and gf head back to the dearests place to try to find them and save them. Upon entering bf is forcibly thrown into hating simulator and has to face a glitched up senpai. Meanwhile while bf faces glitched senpai gf finds pico and tells him about the situation leading him to the dearests place to try to save him. Afterwards corrupted spirit (he’s human so I feel it makes sense for him to get corrupted) attempts to possess boyfriend leading into this song

I know that I'm late to comment, but when soul bf showed up and after Girlfriend and Pico's turns, Spirit Didn't even seem that mad, he still is smiling, he probably is confident that boyfriend is trying to get his conionusness back again because despite him being Deleted in savestate, spirit is probably trying to help boyfriend getting un-deleted but getting glitch boyfriend deleted, and had the help of soul boyfriend (even though Spirit and Soul BF don't know each other), girlfriend and pico so boyfriend is helped and remained conionus and not deleted.
