    In his medical career, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy served as a physician to several famous personalities of the country, including some of India's prominent leaders and freedom fighters. Among the notable individuals he treated were:
    Mahatma Gandhi: Dr. B.C. Roy attended to Mahatma Gandhi's health on several occasions. During his stay in Sevagram Ashram in Wardha, Gandhi was under Dr. Roy's care for various health issues.
    Subhas Chandra Bose: Dr. Roy treated Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the prominent freedom fighter and leader of the Indian National Army, during his medical needs.
    Rabindranath Tagore: Dr. Roy was involved in providing medical assistance to the famous poet and Nobel laureate, Rabindranath Tagore.
    Jawaharlal Nehru: India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, also sought medical attention from Dr. B.C. Roy when needed.
    Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy's medical expertise, compassionate care, and dedication made him highly respected among his patients, which included not only national leaders but also common people. His contributions to the medical field and public service led to him being honored with India's highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna, in 1961.
    Apart from his medical practice, Dr. B.C. Roy had a long and illustrious political career. He served as the second Chief Minister of West Bengal from 1948 until his death in 1962.
