Roe is such a chilled out Dad with baby Zelda and the kids. Lovely family.
You’re looking very radiant Chloe. Zelda is growing up so quickly.
Sylvie in that hat, too cute.
Glad that the boys enjoy celebrating Anzac days, they looked cool in their uniforms.
Your children are so intelligent, I love watching your family grow. You are truly blessed.
My grandson lives in Oura Nr Wagga Wagga, he was also in an ANZAC parade with the Scouts, and he was very proud to carry the flag.
I love that the older 3 are doing scouts. It’s such a great extra curricular activity. Such good life skills for them.
You're going to get heaps of advice for gardening. My biggest tip is to never let your basil bud/flower. Every two to three days, go out and pull off all the tops; leaving two leaves in a Y shape. Bush that baby up!!
I could definitely see Sylvie being an artist!!! At least if not an artist be really at amazing at it!!! I am pretty good at art myself and this is super advanced for her age!!! She really knows what she's doing!!!! Actually filling the page with color and she had the rainbow in the right order!!!! Look at her go!!! So proud of little Sylvie and cannot wait to see her progress!!!
Yes! That artwork was amazing for a 3-year-old!❤
So nice!! The boys are very handsome in their scout uniforms. I think the enthusiasm of the little ones will bring you good luck with the plants
Birdie loves her little sister so much, so very heartwarming to see. Evan, Otto and Felix make such a smart team, all three looking sharp in their uniforms and speaking so eloquently. What a perfect wall to put plants along, the little gardeners seem all ready and set to look after them 💚💚💚
Birdie is going to be a singer , I think, she has a strong voice. The children are so advanced , even baby Zelda, she is acting like a 6 month old . Chloe your skin is radiant . Much love to you all from UK ♥♥♥
I’d definitely advise getting some good quality compost and repotting each of the plants into larger pots. By the time the plants leave the garden centre they are more than ready to leave those black pots. You’ll be amazed when you take them out and see the size of the roots! It would be fun for the kids to see as well 😃
Basil is often planted far too closely. You can divide it into several plants, put it in several flower pots. Basil needs a lot of space
They really are extremely smart and beautiful children
I used to have a horrible green thumb but started googling when the best time to plant which plants, how often to water and if they are outside or inside plants. It has been fun knowing how to grow plants and keep them alive. Birdie is talking more and more everyday. I loved her little singing voice.
i loved the bluey ending, made me cry
Silvie coloured a very nice rainbow. She can concentrate very good.
Have a Beautiful weekend y'all we are having such nice weather here in Florida ❤❤❤
It would be nice to trust everyone but I worry about the boys traveling on their own. Thank you for showing us your lovely family. Watching them grow is amazing.
I think Ro was with them. Chloe and Ro often split when the older kids have outside activities and Chloe stays at home with the little ones.
Great video , love to see all the children, being a gardener for over 60 years my advice is replant the plants into much bigger pots, also the metal fencing may get too hot and burn your plants. Also some slow release fertiliser will help them along, when repotting use a good quality potting mix. Have fun 😊
Omg come on bluey is ment for kids and they were in tears over the house, and even as an adult I could not have handled them not giving a happy ending, after all the uncertainty of the episode it was beautiful x
Mom…I love plants. They like gentle touch and if you name them and talk to them. Also that was a lot of water maybe half a cup a week is plenty. if you play classical music they grow too! You should repot them immediately into a larger pot or they WILL die. in plant stores they put them in disposable small pots where the roots cannot grow. Hope this helps! Add soul into the new pot and press the dirt down with your hands to remove air pockets. your froend from NC, US
yep replant them soon as you can Basil grows great re potted
Wtf do you mean who is going to talk to a plant or put classical music on for a PLANT
@@isabelseerden7541 Research actually shows that playing music for your plants can help them grow. There are actual studies behind this and many gardeners play music and talk to their plants to help them thrive.
@@julied9521 no hate but that is just weird
@@isabelseerden7541It's not that crazy , plants take in Carbon dioxide which is what we would breath out as ( or if ) we talk over them. And if you're talking to them you're observing them and more likely taking care of them 😊
The cutest!!❤
You CAN do it!! 🌱🪴🍅
The library has many books to help you. 📚 Learn what grows best in your area. (Especially this time of year as you approach the colder season)
Get the kiddos involved. They'll love growing food. Let each one have their own plant/variety. Many veggies can be easily grown in pots. The older boys can even earn a merit badge or two. 🧒👦👨
Yummy Milk!!! Hahaha. Birdie is hilarious!
Hugs from Belarus to your wonderful family!! I love to see your vlogs 😊❤
Bunnings for their famous sausage sizzles. I used to go to the Bunnings in Subiaco.
Still so amazed at Cosmos maths abilities.. could be a maths teacher when he is older
Sylivies picture was so pretty
The boys look so handsome in their scouts outfit
Little Zelda is just so gorgeous ❤
I love this adorable family
they're scouts - but of course! :) soo happy for you guys
greetings from a swiss scout🌿
Lovely family. So nice to see it. Wonderful children. ❤
Sylvie in her cute green hat 🤩
Hi Chloe and Ro,
It’s great to see you guys getting into plants again, it’s something that I struggle with too, trying to keep them alive 😂 however it’s fun to keep trying and getting to learn about all the different types of plants that are available. Just a friendly tip, have you tried Landsdale Plants? They have a great selection with friendly, helpful staff. They are also heaps cheaper than Bunnings. Some of the easy plants to grow are marigolds, petunia’s, vinca’s etc. I reakon the kids would love marigolds, especially Birdie, seeing as though she loves yellow. They are beautiful, bright yellow flowers and also come in orange. Good luck with it all, I hope to run into you all one of these days. Love following your vlogs, have done since the beginning.❤️Kind regards, Lyndall
We love bluey here too! I even watch after my son goes to bed! It our favorite!
I just think you’re amazing! My mum has 8 children one after an other and it was hard work. I love your family way of life!
Hi Silvie. We love the beautifull picture you made today... well done 😊😊
Please can you do a vidio of you all at mealtime and maybe some cooking. We haven't seen one in ages. Also playing in your garden....thankyou😊😊
i’d recommend doing research about each type of plant you have and then saving a note on your phone about how it likes to be cared for. i have this and it really helps when i forget what my plants need. there are lots of good apps for identifying your plant if you’ve forgotten exactly what it is since buying it - i use picturethis but i believe there’s lots of options.
all plants have different watering schedules, humidity levels they like, temperatures they tolerate, and levels of sunlight they like, so knowing this can really help. place your plant in a spot that best meets its temperature and sunlight needs, and frequently mist the leaves with a spray bottle if it likes humidity. also they generally need less water than you’d think - stick a finger into the top inch or so of soil, and if your finger feels wet or damp, it doesn’t need watering, while if it feels dry, it needs a drink. find out whether the plant likes a long, less frequent watering, or smaller, more frequent watering. if it likes a long, less frequent drink, water it until water comes out the bottom of the pot (and then dispose of the water in the tray if you have one - plants are susceptible to root rot if left in stagnant water). if it likes a small, more frequent drink, just lightly wet the top of the soil, but don’t allow the soil to be fully saturated or the water to run out the bottom of the pot. as a general rule, “less frequent” will be once every two weeks or so, and “more frequent” will be a couple of times week, but this varies by plant, season and climate, so use the finger trick to be sure.
fertilising using liquid feed in the water once a month during spring and summer (and probably aussie autumn) can help plants grow nice and bushy.
there are lots of easy house plants to look into if you’d be interested in practicing your plant care skills with the kids - i’d personally recommend a zanzibar gem/zz plant for being nearly impossible to kill. house plants are potentially a bit easier to hone your green thumb on as the environment is more constant so it’s harder to go wrong. good luck!
I would treat the gardening as a home school science lesson. Herbs can be used for fine motor skills, snipping then adding to cream cheese for snack or home made play dough for a sensory activity. You can make " paintbrushes " from rosemary and lavender.
If you can find a smaller garden centre they usually have more knowledge about what you can grow. Big chains operate on a buy or die policy !
Definitely start with herbs.. like rosemary and thyme and oregano and then the children can pick the leaves and see them going into their food. And the basil is a great one for them all to taste in a salad ❤x
I was going to suggest onions an garlic winter grows. An tomato or peppers very easy to grow.
Good luck with the plants =)
So many of mine died and over the last year I'm finally having plants thrive !
I wanted to give up so many times especially because my mums garden is and always has been amazing haha
I now have way too any plants 😅
ok basil and most herbs dont like to be watered in the heat of the day more in the morning and just before dusk also dont water the leaves try to water under them hugssss
Hello an these kids r growing way to fast. Coco an his numbers. 😂 He is so smart. An I was wondering iffn Pearl Henry an Rufus want to join the scouts will I let them too an girl scouts for Pearl? I think they would like it too. ❤😂
Nice plants . But the tree would do better with a bigger pot or dig a hole in the ground fill the hole with water when most of the water is absorbed put the plant in the ground an bury it an rewater it after u burry it just the root ball. ❤🎉 An water when every few days or iffn the soil looks dry around it. ❤🎉
There is no “girls” scouts in Australia, just scouts, and everyone is welcome 😊
Maybe you can follow Josh from Gardening Australia. He is in Perth I think. Not sure if he has his own social media. I know Perth can be challenging for gardening, as are a lot of areas in Aus. Anyway good luck with your gardening efforts.
Raspberries and strawberries are easy to grow. I'd cut down that tree and plant some. Oh and they taste way better than the store.
You could do a project with the children. Planning a garden learning what grows well in different environments what soil you need and how to care for them. It could be a school project . Between them all you’d have a beautiful garden.
you dress your little girls so cute now. I love the dress that birdie was wearing. I love watching your videos. I have been watching your family when you only had three kids i think it was. any way i could be wrong on that. its been a long time thou.
With your herbs, try planting them in large pots and bring them inside during winter, sit them in a sunny spot. Never water plants with the sun on the leaves.
Noise makers are great to use for babies
@lifewithbeans lots of plants don't need to be watered every day and you should never water in the middle of the day. Most plants like to be watered again after they have mostly dried out. Another thing to look for is which plants like whatever the amounts of sun each area gets. Some enjoy more sunshine than others.
repot for sure into larger pots so they don't dry out so quickly.
Wow sylvie that picture is really beautiful you little 👨🎨
Try having a noise machine My daughter has/had one for each of her kids. They slept sound Zelda adorable and Birdie and all the kids luv them all
You never know....Cosmo might be the next Einstein with his math prowess! Sylvie did an amazing job coloring her picture with the perfect rainbow. Birdie was so sweet when she looked over and saw her baby sister,"Zelda!" Don't make my mistake with your new plants. Be sure to get them planted in the ground quickly(or in larger containers.) They dry out very quickly in the small containers. I should know, after all the poor plants that I have killed.❤
All of the kids seemed to enjoy Bluey movie….. even the older kids enjoyed it.
Maybe get a passion fruit vine.
Your family is so amazing 😊😅😮😢🎉😂❤
Oh my great bloody Australia I’m in Scouts too and I’m in Australia. I’m in Bronia one or I don’t know but I am at scouts but I don’t have that tie. It’s not red blue and white at the Knox Scouts. We only have the blue or yellow.😊
Oh, and yes, the ANZAC parade I was in a Bronia during the ANZAC march we went to the Bronia dawn service we were on the Chandler Road near school that I go we matched all the way there to the dawn service Bronia there was a lot of veterans and a lot of Scottish uniforms during that time. I really liked it live Australia.😊
Hi there.
I have ofte n wondered why you dont try growing simple plants.
Especially food ones like leafy greens, lettuce, spinach, silverbeet. They are supper easy to grow in pots. I learnt tbe best rule of thumb for healthy watering from a long ago episode of Gardening Australia on ABC. Put the pad of your finger against the soil.if it has any earth on it the plant doesnt need wateri g at that time. If your finger is clean of soil it needs water
. Do not over water.
That is the biggest killer of plants!
You can get packets of seed, especiallyy for containers growing in Bunning.
Last tip..read the instructions!!
Good luck.
Its fun and rewarding.
That was cute.
And I hope you can grow. Things I cannot. I don't know. I just can't do it. Everything seems to die.
I've tried house plants growing things outside and I just don't do it, right? But I wish you all the best😊😊😊
My cousin was really sensitive to noise when she was a baby too and she had a white noise maker wich helped block out other sound, mabe that would work
I just found an old video of Otto having a doll that he knitted. He called the doll Zelda. H
❤❤❤❤
basil plants thrive inside by a window water alot ONLY ONCE a week
That basil plant is for inside or a shady place. It won´t cope well outside in the sun .... It´s great for the kids... on Tomatoes or in a salad!
Sylvie❤
love your family i had to put my sweet cat meme doown maade the descion to pit her down cancer spread
أعانك ووفقك *الله*.
Oh the Cosmo's hair is so orange/red now
They boys look fantastic in their uniforms I'm guessing evan amd otto are scouts and Felix is a Cub? X my lad is a cub but goes up to scouts soon
It’s like our Home Depot or Lowe’s in America
❤😊❤😊
My friends daughter calls Bunnings The bang Bang shop because of the hammer.
Hi! Do you plan to send boys at World Scout Jamboree in Poland in 2027?
Do you leave the older three home alone?
Des petits anges sur terre bonne avenirs dans la jois et le bonheur c'est la joie erci a toi mandame
@6:00 does little Zelda have a cold atm? Quite a tracheal tug she’s got and noise breathing. Just wanted to mention just incase 😊 (I’m a paeds nurse)!
No cold but she does get a build up of boogie sometimes that seems to make it a little harder for her to breathe until we can manage to dislodge it.
@@lifewithbeans oh okay! thanks for replying, seen a lot of littles ones with this in the hospital so just thought I’d check in 😁 glad she’s all well!
Same I was disappointed in the ending as well of Bluey long episode.
You're gorgeous
The best activity in the world is to plant something you can also eat. Were I you, I would assign the task of watering the plants to Pearl. I do think it's best to give one person the watering job so they can know the plant and understand that it needs water or doesn't need water as you go forward. Plus, taking ownership, increases interest and responsibility which plants need both of these She could get in on the decisions right now,--where to dig all your holes and put your plants. Don't ask her where, but explain to her your thought process and include her in that discussion, but ultimately you have to make the decisions because you don't want the plants to die because of easy error. All that said, all gardeners have plants die on them. Non-gardeners always believe dying plant means you can't grow anything. Hogwash. Stop thinking that right now. It is extremely difficult to have a patch of earth where no thing grows. Look around you. Things are trying to grow everywhere. What is important when you are planting--Respect the depth/size of the hole for your plant as instructed. Respect the amount of hours of sunlight they say it needs, although you can often get by with less sun but hardly ever with more sun. Water by😂 observation. You will know the plant needs water if it's droopy, or the earth surrounded is very hard, if it looks too sad, too heavily when you first plant it and ease up as it begins to take hold and grow. When you put a plant in the ground outside, you rarely have to worry about over watering because the water will drain away through the Earth. It's a lot easier to underwater because the water drains away. Ha ha. It's best to water your plants at the end of the day, or at the very beginning of the day, which is the two times of the day when the sun is the weakest. Spraying water on your plants, let's say, at high noon puts the plants through a lot of shock or stress. Personally like to meander out after dinner and water my plants. Very calm and settling before you go to bed. If a plant dies, and some plants will die, but something will grow too. I chose Pearl to be the watering person because I think in her lovely world of boys, it would be nice to give her a task that's nurturing for her feminine side. lastly, tag every plant in the ground. Usually receive a tag with the plant that you can stick in the ground. If you don't, it's easy to make one. I also think precious keep a little notebook for her gardening, where she uses to play tag to record basic facts about her plants , she could also draw a picture of the leaf and the flower, so she knows what it is, she can also put special notes such as seems to attract butterflies, she could also write down the names of plants. She's interested in trying out in her garden, and so forth. OK, I know it reads like a lot, but it's simple and easy and that's how you want your gardening to be in the beginning or maybe forever. Love you all so so much. Your friend from the coast of North Carolina, USA, Deborah.
Thanks for all the advice 🙏💓

You will probably get a lot of tips here. If i could give one, it would be to buy plants who survive the winter.
I dont know how cold your winters get? But here in the netherlands a lot of flowers and plants dont survive. Which has been my mistake when i went to buy plants for in the yard. 🤭
