Watching this match back. Playing for the dons is a privilege. There’s so many of the dons family who wish they could play or give everything for the badge. That performance wasn’t a dons performance. We can all agree on that.
The lesson within this. WE MUST stick together and not get ahead of ourselves as a club/team. Cups competition in the past have taught us this. This new look team needs to feel what defeat and negativity is. We will become closer and stronger as a team. You’ll see this by who’s still here in the future. What is achieved. How hard we are willing to work for each other. I won’t apologise. We’ve just got no option but to do better. #ANYTHING
The lack of reaction to Ivors penalty save says it all. Clearly too many feeling sorry for themselves. If that was G you'd have been behind him to a man. If you're wearing the shirt you should get the same backing. Its culture again

Don’t worry about Ivor he can take it and he will be the first to hold his hands up and admit he had a bad day at the office. The kids just turned 17 and playing regular first team step 5 semi pro mens football. Think it’s unfair he’s being judged on one performance by people that don’t know him or see how he consistently performs week after week. He’s young and will learn.

Awful day at the office. Unacceptable. By remember SE Dons wasn’t built on victories it was built on loss. We assure you we will bounce back. This was a major blip. Stick with us. We got loads to play for. But we’re gutted to come out of this competition.

It’s a shame how accessible Reino is in the sense he can make every game (5s and 11s). I get that he loves the badge but he’s a real liability. Far from humble too which is probably why he gets so much criticism week in week out

that backline reminded me of the time SE Dons got smashed at Cortez. 2nd goal no one tried blocking it albeit nonchalantly, 3rd goal no one helping the keeper out having to just pass and hope and 4th goal the whole team letting their 2 defenders get run down.
Big love to Ivor man, always tough coming in to a new team especially at late notice. Sometimes it’s just not your day.

There's almost an unwritten code amongst fellow football coaches that I've worked with: "You don't lose to Long Lane" - it's almost a rite of passage in South. Half of the experiences with them are dodgy player and coach behaviours and the other half are actually knowing you'll be in for a challenge and a great game of football. Credit where credit is due.
I'm not exaggerating in the slightest because I've been to a couple of games and can vouch: watching a Dons game in the flesh is a different experience to any Sunday league football out there. It's not just a cute message for the vids, and being there live watching this game unfold I could only think to myself - with all of the characters the Dons have at their disposal - this may be the start of a revolutionary turnaround. I witnessed the mainstay of my coaching mantra; you can run quickly, you can jump high, but can you bounce back?

Wins aren’t what define mentality it’s losses and adversity. The club has plenty of reasons to feel those emotions and it’s how you bounce back and respond. Fair play to the lad in goal he made errors and no one will feel worse than him but where was the dons spirit people getting around him. Club was founded on family and that mentality that if one persons hurt it hurts us all. Things will come good again but shirts are handed out on mentality, passion, spirit and hard work. Let’s go dons!

Let’s be real here, it is only one game and players missing but thats realistically 3 bad half’s from the last 4 half’s of football. But also there are positives. Reino can simply not play as a centre half in a back 4, if he has a sweeper who is quick like TC behind him then maybe. Miles should of played in this game, not as good technically but will head and kick and simply on that pitch against long lane defenders just need to be there to be defenders. Oz no doubt is a brilliant player but simply last couple games has been miles off it in terms of ability to compete in the midfield etc, losing his man from set pieces is so visible also. Raw was positive on and off the ball and did enjoy watching him in this game, Dom pires for me is very wasted at left back at the moment and should be playing in the middle as he’s so creative. In big games on good pitches when lefty bodo raw are there then I agree left back. Simply think that this team is no where near where it once was in terms of management or quality, when we used to have the same team each week or as close to with monts (injury I know) lefty, raw, rp7, Zak ansah, k runna, Nathan palmer, jd, rj, sk . Understandably thing and times chnage but the statements king is making and then bringing in players who realistically don’t meet any of the above so how he thinks he will do better than what JR did, And you look now and the players regularly playing boogie, tobi, jj, aren’t on or near that level, even Kingy a brilliant player, he’s wasted on the pitch cus some of them players aren’t on his level. Looking forward to seeing the next couple games and seeing how the team progresses is exciting but always anything. I’m sure the process will continue and anything for Paula.

Heading into a game with this sort of situation, you need the team to pull together; experienced heads to gather round the young GK and help him through. Defence went missing this time - in their performance and in having the bollocks to help Ivor get through the game.
Live and learn. Hope this will be a lesson for the team about unity and resilience. The season's started well, let this be the fork in the road from which the team toughens up and grows stronger together, not apart.

Reino shouldn't be anywhere near CB. Lefty is always a big miss when he doesn't play. Seem to be lacking firepower without K-Runna especially. NMP and Zak only playing sporadically. Feels like sometimes the defenders are left to defend. Remember defending starts from the top. The gaps at times between the defence and midfield was crazy - if teams gave the dons that many gaps and that much space it would be a Christmas gift come early. So don’t do it for other teams.
Let this be a lesson - last season about this time was horrible at the club going out of cups etc. don’t let it happen again.

Making it hard for yourselves with Rheon at CB. Not hating but he is a liability, too many errors. With JD/RJ nobody getting up to win headers or set pieces either. Would make sense to have someone holding in front of them so the CBs can focus on defending long balls and have some more protection.

Early days but I'd be surprised if we won anything major this year. Almost out a cup the other week and got saved by pens too... could have easily been out of 2 competitions now to much worse clubs.

I say it every week but, Reino is the weak link EVERY SINGLE GAME. Far too lazy to be winning anything, it’s disappointing seeing this week in week out.
I cant say i am surprised we lost today as the negativity just now at the club is there to be seen. I have been around from day one when we used to get beat a lot but back then even when we were losing we were at least encouraging players after a mistake but things recently seem to have changed there is too much finger pointing and blaming and calling out the players what ever happened to we are a team we support each and every player whether they make a mistake or not there really is far too much negativity at the moment and you cant lay the blame on we were missing certain players as SE Dons is a massive club we have good enough players as back up, it seems to me that every week your coming in to the game thinking that you can just turn up and win but am sorry your getting caught out now if you come thinking like that. For the young lad to come in and play in goals only finding out the night before takes MASSIVE balls especially for a club like SE Dons so i take my hat off to him and he made the penalty save to actually keep us in the game at 3-1 and no one cheered or gave encouragement to that which is not the SE Dons that i know and love, And i hope that Big G comes back and rips in to everyone for not supporting each other for the whole 90 minutes. But at the end of the day it is only football and we go again next week and i just hope things start to change very quickly or things can start to go downhill very quickly, but see you next week DONS. #ANYTHING
