Simon just blurted out what everybody was thinking. Everybody knew how good Carrie was on Idol. Nobody wanted to say it. Idol producers didn't want Simon to say it. They wanted drama, but there was no drama during Carrie's season. Carrie took the drama out of that season. The main reason, Carrie's season was a ratings buster was because Carrie. Everyone wanted to hear Carrie singing. Her winning Idol was decided by her St. Louis audition.
