Yeah, I guess some cultures just appreciate music more. Live especially. If you go to a live show in... Japan or Germany per say. No one has their phone out and everyone is fully engaged with the artist onstage. You go to any large show in North America people have their phones out filming the *whole thing* so they can put in their snapchat/Instagram story as if they're more interested in that than actually listening to the music. Underground acts and small artists in North America (or other countries in similar situations) dont suffer from this because the people listening are dedicated. It's the sad truth but hey, not much you can do
