If you check the coordinates of the Glitched World, it's around -3000. Thats literally the same as the distance from Hyrule's surface to the highest sky island in the game. This place is DEEP!
And I thought the Depths were deep... it's literally in the name

i think it's probably like 3200 which IIRC is where the top of the world is.
and it makes sense, the ocean is at elevation 0, the bounds are likely a cube, so for there to be an upper bounds of 3200 there must be a lower bound of -3200 if sea level is 0
i think -3080 is the lowest you can go

Funniest joke I ever heard, because nobody ever spoke to me.
I’m pretty sure the reason there was gloom down there is because there was gloom above you up in the depths
I remember in botw a lot of things on the surface would affect you even after you clipped beneath them, for example if you ended up under a body of water, you would start swimming no matter how deep you were. So basically surface level “status” areas have effect infinitely beneath them (or at least until they hit another floor)
If I am wrong about this someone more knowledgeable please correct me, I honestly don’t know that much about this, but that’s my guess.
i imagine that's part of it, but there are areas on the surface with gloom that don't have that effect in the depths. he doesn't show his x,y,z in this so i can't say if there IS or ISN'T gloom above him in the depths. there were patches of different colour, those might be areas without gloom.
my guess is this: there exists a gloom map that is applied to the depths, the map is 2d so it applies at all z less than a a certain amount, then there also exists gloom terrain that can be applied in areas where you need to go though a tunnel under gloom or where you need gloom on the surface

Yeah usually when I went under a spot with gloom, I would take damage. But not every time.
If someone figures out how to get out of the glitched world easier, the speedrunning community would go insane
I used another zuggle to get past the invisible floor, I got to -9000 before the camera stopped following me

I actually went down to -20000 before I got bored and teleported out
Try attaching some fans to a cart or the like. Since there’s no friction, you should be able to endlessly build up speed
I'm not certain, but I think the fans have a max speed beyond which they will not accelerate.
I remember i told my little brother while he was playing botw that a blood moon meant he was taking too long and had pissed off zelda and that she was sending every enemy in the game to him.

@@ThornyFox In Bedrock Edition you can use commands to teleport under the minecraft:invisiblebedrock layer at Y=-104. Just teleport yourself to Y=-105.

I found a glitch that allows you to walk on gloom without taking damage: Simply shield surf, quickly remove your shield, then pull out your bow and teleport to a place. Now, if you activate any Zonai device, travel somewhere and talk to an NPC you will be resistant to any damage (including gloom) whatsoever. Anyway, I love your videos pls make more!
Not sure why but my expectation was that the depths just wouldn’t load if you dropped down without going through an “authorized” chasm. It’s neat how connected the world is in this game even when you’re breaking it.

i have an idea for a video, so what you could do is go to one of those huge bokoblin bases like the one surrounding the hyrule field tower and you could make a jail using the cages in the huge bases and trapped them to make a jail. i think that it would be very funny
The limit of objects stuck together is 21 or something. I should gather every cage in Hyrule and stick them together and make an entire prison!
Being on top of the depths give me Minecraft vibes because you can be on top of the neather and the depths are like the neather
next try to get a skeleton horse from the depths to the surface, and see how the stable reacts when you try to register it
There is a side quest for this. They do spawn on the main world map at night in one of the parks with a horse statue, I forget the name.

Has like anyone ever wondered what’s at the bottom of glooms lair because for me I’ve been trying to find the video that features it and I’m kind of wondering if @Thornyfox might do his own take on it because that area is of course accessible through glitches and it does have collision along with friction so it’s not impossible it’s even capable of lighting up with bright blooms so that you can get a good look at it and explore entirely or at least on the floor and higher up
