      Thank you for your comments. As you have discovered there are many different styles of Qigong. Some traditions have very specific instructions on how and when to practice as well as a progression of practices to follow for optimum growth and development. My personal feeling and experience is that it is OK to experiment with various teachers and practices, finding the approaches that fit best for you as an individual. It may be helpful to document your approaches, noting how each of them make you feel and the impact of each. This can help you answer some of your questions-simply by listening to your self. My favorite book on Qigong is Qigong Empowerment by Liang and Wu. Hope that helps.

    • @neuromeditationinstitute
      @neuromeditationinstitute  Před 4 lety +3

      Tingling is good. We usually associate that with qi movement. You may also find that those sensations change over time. I am not aware of a specific form for arthritis in the neck. I would guess that any form with gentle twisting with both gross and fine movement would be ideal. You might look into Coiling Silk forms. I would also recommend focusing on being as relaxed as possible and keeping the movements smooth, soft, and flowing.

      Good question. If your hands are in the correct position, as you do the twisting you may notice some "squeezing" and releasing in the kidney areas. Try that part of the exercise with special attention to the kidney area and see what you notice!

      CoDr Pardeshi MD there are many interpretations of the five elements but as mentioned above it is most important to try connect with the flow and videos which include the sequence of breathing are key. In Chinese medicine the breath has been recognised as essential to physical and mental wellbeing for thousands of years. In my own daily routine I use Qigong as a form of moving meditation to centre myself. This video is quality instruction for understanding the concepts and platform from which other schools/forms can be studied. A book that started my journey and that of my friends is Qigong for beginners by Stanley Wilson. Hope you find a practice that suits you and wish you good health.

    small mistake with the width of feet, stand with feet together, sink down, lift one foot off floor, ballance, extend leg to the side till your ballance juuuust starts to be affected, then place foot down with toes first and then you have the perfect distance... mistake on spinal posture,.. when you sink down, you raise crown upward, and sink downward, and then tai gong, and expand spine upward, and relax, relaxation is done by expanding. taigong will put a gyro at the lower axis, and another gyro at crown, this is because your attention is brought to these two points.. crown and just infront of anus. this expansion of spine will allow samadhi to happen in conjunction with anapanasati. you'll find that when you guide breathing it will be forced, you gota learn the exersizes first, then learn breathing, then do this exersizes in mirror,.. this will alow you to correct yourself because you're learning in 3rd person, and you need the 1st person experience. the spine expansion stuff is difficult and may take years to be able to do. you'll find that when your lower spine releases due to expansion and relaxation down legs that your pelvis will tilt (on its own) inward slightly, again.. you have to allow this relaxation to happen from expanding upwards and downwards, man is drawn between heaven and earth... when you move,.. you should be expanding arms and shoulders too, expanded joints allows chi flow. and also totaly relaxed, need to move using expansion of joints. need to be done using Peng Jin
