For those who are confused on why the texture isn't on the right place is because you need to load the R6 type of your character, not R15.
You can also scroll thru the comments if you have any problems, I'm sure I've already answered someone else's question about your problem!

In case your hats/accessories look "transparent", you need to select the hat, ONE BY ONE and do what I say.
Then what you want to do is to go to it's material properties.
After that scroll ALL THE WAY down.
You will see a section called "Viewport Display".
Open it and then keep scrolling until you see a setting called "Show Backface".
Untick it and it will solve your problem!

Handle1diff is one of the accessories textures, possibly.
Find the texture pic that has the greatest number, for example:
+ If you see handle1diff, handle2diff, handle3diff; then the handle3diff is the "tex.png"
on the video.
If not, go through all the pics and if a pic has at least a roblox face printed into it, then it is the "tex.png" on the video.

Pro tip for camera, press numpad 0 to enable cam active view. Pressing Shift and ~ will toggle fly mode. You use WASD to move around and mouse to control POV. You can increase movement speed with mousewheel (up is up in speed, down is down in speed). If you wanna temporarily go fast you hold shift and slower alt. When you are done moving around click to exit fly mode and ur done.

If some people are having the problem of your hats being white, follow these steps:
Click on your hats > Go to material properties > Click on the "-" button until everything is gone > Then click on "New" > Then choose image texture > Scroll down till you find "Open" > then click on what ever you saved your hats as (it has to be png)

Just lettin you know, eevee renderer is perfect to use, although it does not render lights and such as well as cycles, eevee can render your images and animation very fast while looking really nice, the only big downside is you need to manually tweak all the light settings but other than that it's very good.
It's alright, I dont prefer it over cycles in terms of quality in post-production. Helps to use cycles especially when making high quality thumbnails or icons which this tutorial is based on.
can you just use eevee while modelling and such and then switch to cycles? it seems like with eevee you trade quality for speed which isnt a very good trade off in this case

I've tried this 7+ times, but how do you pre-save your avatar? When I convert the file to PNG the entire avatar turns white.

Quick tip:
Make sure you have a camera added in.
Go to where you want your image to be, then press CTRL + ALT + 0.
This is how you position your camera to your exact location.

By the way, if you don't check spawn at origin when spawning your avatar the hats won't spawn on your avatar in the paint rig.

Hi!! I'm having an issue and I have watched countless videos, and none of them have the problem I'm having. This only started happening recently, but when I export the accessory, it shows up as white and the texture is nowhere to be found. I have tried re-exporting, installing and un-installing, and searching the internet for a solution. But i cant find one anywhereee help pleasee??

You Import not Export, also check the circle you picked and if you have the texture go on the Hat and open it on it.

I'm having problems with adding the hats I want it to spawn on the character but it spawns somewhere else and I know with your new video you go over the details how to fix that, but I'm specifically looking for it to be on the character when I use it because I'm pretty bad at putting stuff on manually. So if you could maybe creating a discord server for this type of stuff could help!

pro tip:
if you are having problems with near-invisible accessories (for people who are using the Eevee rendering system), follow these steps to fix it!
1: Select the accessories you are currently having problem with
2: Go into the Material tab
3:Scroll down to the bottom of the Material Tab
4: Click the box next to the "Blend Mode" text, choose "Alpha Clip"
5: Change the Clip Threshold to 0
done!

I'm very confused. I've been making GFX for about a year now from this tutorial (which was working fine until now) and I suddenly started having an issue where the exported selection for the texture comes through as an .OBJ for the avatar rather than a .PNG and I can no longer make GFX as long as this issue is happening. Do you have any suggestions of what I could try to fix this error, or has roblox done some stuff that has made this feature obsolete?

@@Walkemdowntoheel So kinda, make sure the model you are extracting is named something different from any others you had extracted before, and then select the model and right click to select the select children option or something like that, then extract the children of the model and you should have a texture in your folder.
it is going to create a obj file, mbl file, and a png file, because it think that you are importing the character model and the texture but i would look again because i get the same thing

@@Walkemdowntoheel When you right click on a model it should say "Select Children" on the pop-up, click that and you should be able to get the texture from that. Well, its been working for me at least.
Whys my hair not importing on the avatar in blender?
U need to save the character, then go inside the character’s explorer then hold ctrl and select all the hats in the model, then save it

10:13 another quicker way to have your camera positioned is to click the camera, orbit and pan around your model until you like what you see then press ctrl, alt, numpad 0. It'll snap the camera to your view
I cannot add a camera, the camera word is just gray and unuseable how to fix
@@peely6360 Have you tried the two main ways of adding a camera? You can locate the Add button on the bar next to Object Mode and add the camera there or pressing Shift+A and clicking Camera. If you find trouble with those however, you could try pressing F3 (or Space bar, depends on what you have the function set to) to open up a searcher and typing in Add Camera. I haven't tried this last method but it could work!

@Collier Head you have to make sure when you made the model you grouped all the hats together by using ctrl when selecting them

Hey Xenici, when i import my obj(hats) they don't "spawn" on the main object position, they "spawn" in a far location. I tried to move them to 3D Cursor position but this didn't works too.Appreciate if you or someone can help!

There's this viewpoint thing on the left corner, has the letters xyz with x being red, y being green, and z being blue, you can drag that around to get a better viewpoint of your character.

(yes when I downloaded paintrig it didn't work, basically it opened notepad with some weird a** coding.) and I don't even have discord, so that means I can't ask questions? Ok for some reason when I try and Export the body to the folder then try and use it in blender it can't find the file. I think what is screwing it up is putting Humaniod >> Shirt. I skiped that step and it worked fine.
So, When I put in the texture. It works perfectly fine but the texture goes onto the pants instead of the shirt. Does anyone know how to fix this?
