The 1990's ushered in a new era of worship music for the church, with new songs starting to reach believers and churches around the world, faster than ever before! So many of the classics from this decade remain favourites worldwide, still sitting in CCLI's top 100 charts tracking Sunday worship. The 1990's were also formative for me, taking me from elementary school all the way into university. Songs like the ones found in the medley are very much the soundtrack of my life, though I didn't have a chance to learn most of these until the 1990's were over!

I believe this may be my favorite so far.
I was born in 2003. There are some songs in here I knew, and that I knew were from the 90s; there were some songs that I didn’t know, and did not know were from the 90s; and there were some that I didn’t know at all, just like in the 1980s medley. Next stop: the 2000s. And no 2000s medley would be complete without God of Wonders, In Christ Alone, Revelation Song, Speak O Lord, and potentially Mighty to Save by Hillsong (though I’m not always a big Hillsong fan, and a part of me wish I had checked the doctrinal soundness of Days of Elijah before I submitted it as a request). Thanks David for the stroll down memory lane. My eyes were open to what Jesus had done in 1994 and life has been so much better since. These songs helped me switch from a Catholic understanding of who Jesus was, to a personal relationship with Him.

I’m sure I’ll make more videos, just casually. But likely no more medleys or virtual choirs.
@DavidWesley if it makes a difference, every channel has their ups and downs and unpleasant and unexpected results of random videos, and then you never know, but one random day this video could hit the algorithm again and get a ton more views. Sometimes there is no explanation. Don't give up
This is just part of a downwards trend. The virtual choirs in particular are no more popular than videos that take a tiny fraction of the time needed to produce them. Why do 20x more work for the same results?😭

My mom was one of the worship leaders at our church growing up, she passed almost 8 years ago. This is most definitely a tear jerker but such a good reminder of my childhood and my wonderful savior! Thank you! ❤
A lot of memories
This was WONDERFUL!!!
Many of these were songs that got me through our sons illness and subsequent physical disability (quadriplegic with no speech) in 1999.
Thank You for this as it was just the boost I needed today after our son had a rough night last night… but our Loving God is SO Faithful and was/is with us at ALL times❣️

I was a pioneer back in the 1970’s when churches moved from organs and pianos to guitars and choruses. So much older now, I still believe the 1990’s are the pinnacle of contemporary worship! Thank you for this video!

It was on his Go West Young Man album. It took a few years before it really took off and hit the main stream worship. I fell in love with it from day one.
Oh yay! Throw back to the songs that had simple verse-chorus structure! No bridges (A & B), no interludes, no extra chorus before the coda, .... no waiting in the anticipation for the buildup... Just verse + chorus..... who would think I'd miss that one day? I never thought a song structure could be any different.
Actually, there are a few songs in this medley with bridges, and challenging ones at that. Ancient of Days, I Could Sing of Your Love Forever, Better Is One Day, and Days of Elijah. Just off the top of my head. 😉

This was awesome David! The 90’s played a huge role in my childhood formation. Many of these brought such memories! Thank you! Loved that multiple songs were used for some of the years. I think it just showed how many songs were really impacting the generation. Fun fact: Come Now is the Time to Worship just made 25 years! Brian Doerksen has an anniversary version of that song out now. Thank you David once again for your ministry, brother!

Being born in '81, the 90ies are absolutely 'my' era. Most of these songs where translated to dutch as well and I can just sing them from memory.
Worshipping our Lord lifts Him up, but us as well.

Wow, bringing me baaaack. Born in the early 80s and growing up in the 90s...this just made me feel like a kid all over again at the Baptist church I grew up in!
I am in tears here! Your medley was all the wonderful worship songs I sang in those years on my own worship team. So many wonderful memories. Stepped down from leading any sort of worship about 18 months ago due to having issues with the church suddenly allowing animals in the service, causing my mastocytosis to spin out of control. Yes, the church picked animals over a worship leader. So now I'm at home worshiping God. I miss the fellowship, but cannot keep risking myself and taking the ambo ride to the clinic. Thank you for the wonderful reminder anew of who our God is.

As someone who came to know and accept Christ in the early 2000s, these were the songs I remember singing when I first started attending church. So many of them bring back memories. Keep up the good work and know that your gift is a blessing to others and a pleasant offering to God.

Crazy, that many of these songs are almost 30 years old. I grew up with lot of them. But they started to being sung in Germany in the early 2000s.
AHHH I love all of these! The 90s is my favorite era of worship even though I was born in the year 2000. Perhaps because my parents led worship and many of these songs were sung in church when I was young. Nostalgic! 😍

Every single one of these is far better than anything put out today from the likes of hill song, elevation, bethel or the other popular bands used in modern worship at far too many churches, including the one I currently attend. I stay because the messages are still biblical
There were plenty of sketchy songs in the 1990’s too - lots of “Jesus is my boyfriend” songs and other bad theology. It exists everywhere and in every era.

Another wonderful compilation of songs, beautifully done. Like the mainstream music of the 90’s, which were epic, so too was Contemporary Christian music, as it was coming into its own. First year i went to church i was 13, in 1990. It was a Spanish church. We sang hymns in Spanish. Had no idea at that young age they were actually written in English first😅! my white hubby who i now go with to a mostly white church smiles at me when i say omg i know that song in Spanish!😅

This was great--I didn't start really listening to worship music until 2011 or so, but I recognized a lot of them--some of which I had no idea they'd been around so long! Harmonies and flow between songs are spot on, as they always are--thank you for helping to prepare my heart for worship tomorrow!
