I met Sandy after a show of his in ‘14. I mentioned that I make raps too (didn’t mean to go there, but it slipped out). He instantly got interested in what I was saying, to the point that I thought he must be messing with me. But no, he actually gave me his gmail address and said “If you send me one, and only ONE song, I promise that I’ll listen to it”. And he did! I know because he responded and mentioned some of the lyrics specifically. It still blows my mind to think about. He absolutely did not need to pay any attention to me, let alone request to hear a track, but he did. Thank you for being soo dope and yet right down to earth, Homeboy 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Respect for life

Btw I got to meet Homeboy and Aesop Rock, one of the best moments of my life. When the concert ended Aesop yelled out "when people ask me who I listen to I respond HOMEBOY SANDMAN" and it's easy to see why.
Yea I was at the Philly show Boy Sand was better Aesop was headliner he killed it too but Sand. BTW saw him again was here two weeks ago.
@@NO-END I've listened to Aesop for two decades and finally getting to see him live and meet him was very epic for me. I didn't know about Homeboy at the time but it was an incredible introduction to someone who is now in my top 5 favourite artists. I really appreciate how much growth he's put into his music and he keeps things fresh, lots of respect for the guy.
