堂拳擋拳（唐拳）北派少林～精武黃河流域拳系 Tang Quan iDang Quan Northern Shaolin - Chin Woo the Yellow River basin Series

「堂拳」稱「擋拳」，由於堂與唐是同音，所以又有人稱之為「唐拳」。
堂者，取其盛大開展之意，故拳路一經開展，已盡顯堂拳之勢，正如古譜云：「擺肘進步三撩水。拗步單鞭式，又順步單鞭式」。
究其拳意，是要引領習者如何運用＂堂＂之拳勢，所產生的技法，如何因勢利導，乘勢進入敵陣，並以阻擋及攔截之法，封其出入之門路，達到早着先機，克敵制勝，故稱之為「擋拳」。
堂拳(Tang Quan) was named 擋拳(Dang Quan). Somebody called it 唐拳(Tang Quan ), because of the pronunciation of the word 堂and 唐are the same.
The word 堂is means stretching generously, from the title, it is obviously that when the routine is started to show. Just as the ancient manual of the routine said : ＂Stepping forward with three times uppercut as glide over the water, twisting step with single whip, and then yielding step with single whip also,…”
The idea of 堂拳which is guided the practitioner how to use this kind of movements to blockade the opponent, make use of kicking, striking, toppling and gripping, insight into the first opportunity to enter by exploiting the a weak spot, in order to let the opponent under control.
