The thing is with Volvos, when you park your car in a store parking lot, you will find when you return to your car, that there will be another Volvo parked next to you. Possibly two. Sometimes three. It never fails. Volvo owners tend to congregate. When you know, you know.

Salesman road-warrior, here. I've had 11 Volvo wagons. XC's and 740's. Bought them all with at least 50K and drove them all to at least 200K. My favorite part? The police don't give a second look at a station wagon. Ever. (Hope I didn't just jinx it 😆😆)

Was thinking of buying a new truck till I went to the dealership. Yikes. So I bought a low mileage 05 xc90 with the 2.5t for $2000 but it needed the pvc components changed and timing belt. Did it all myself and other stuff for about $800. What an awesome vehicle. So glad I went this route. These Volvos are awesome off road

My 2008 XC70, her name is Mulva, got me from snowy Chicago here to The Keys. She's perfect for the beach, I pulled an F150 out in Ormond, gets about 28 mpg and her leather is PRISTINE. almost unbelievable.

Agree with you man! Have 06 and 16 xc70's. I run blizzaks on both and they are absolute tanks in Wisconsin winters. I use the p2 like a more practical pickup truck, and the P3 is my wife's daily. P3 is a smooth road trip machine and we can get 30+ mpg hwy with premium gas in the eco setting.

Hi there, Which YEAR is your XC70?? I am partial to the silver color. (Oops, you said 2004). Then, all of those cool features are STANDARD (the way the traction works, for instance)?? And, how many inches was the lift kit? Did you say what the final clearance of the bottom of the vehicle was?? Thank you for the review!!!

You gotta call it 'Borg', cos I think you've been totally 'Assimilated'. My XC70 cruise control keeps the speed on the button going up or downhill. My Lexus couldn't do that. Best seats on the planet. Get an old Volvo car seat and build the coolest office chair for sitting in the garage with your beer in hand. Jeep? Ugh!! I don't have a jeep but I'm mad about it!! Value your family?? Get a Volvo. They designed the three point retractable seat belt and rather than make squliions from the copyright, made the design available to everyone, gratis. Drive a Volvo. Designed and built for the harshest Scandinavian weather. Maybe get a lift kit too. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and keep up the good work. 😊

Funny, i just watched a video by a guy who said he worked on these Volvos for years and wouldnt recommend one to anyone on account of the maintenance costs for all the trivial things that go wrong with them. He said they are money pits. Only thing he liked was the engine which he said would run forever provided you change the oil. Go figure? You say its the best thing since sliced bread and the other guy said it's a pretty much junk. He got his for 500$ so for that price figured he could live with it, since he's a mechanic and could fix it himself. I guess on the price you're both in agreement: they can be picked up cheaply.

Its a nice car but not better than a jeep, toyota, or any other truck. Ive been on worse roads with a bone stock 1988 2wd dodge dakota, Yes this particular one didnt have AC but with a purchase price of $300 with a bad fuel pump who cares. In fact I just bought a FWD minivan to use for those exact roads because getting 8-10 mpg while tooling around in a 4wd dodge durango in 2wd just kinda sucks. The minivan does in fact have functional AC/heater, and all that. I put some 235/75/15 mud tires on it and it was an absolute tank in the snow we just got, had no problems pushing snow with the headlights..

My Mulva is a 2008. 130,000 miles. My power steering line is leaking, and it needs a lift to access, but otherwise she's pristine. I get better than 17mpg, more like 22-25 (3.2Turbo). It's hard to overstate how fresh & smooth she is. Make sure it has nothing major & you've got a sophisticated tank.

Sounds like an awesome project. I’d recommend looking into strut mount spacers. The kit I bought for this XC70 was the Cross Country Performances 2in signature lift kit but there are cheaper kits on Amazon and eBay. I know anything higher than a 2inch lift is recommended that you buy subframe spacers and swap the cv axles with xc90 cv axles. They are direct swap onto a xc70 but I’m not sure about a s60. But good luck with the project! If you send me a messaged on Instagram I can send you the IG page of a guy who lifted his s60. He might be about to give you some insight.

Just found ths channel and don't know what other videos there are, but I don't want to stop watching this episode, so excuse me if you already have videos about them, but our police in Sweden recently updated their cop cars to new awesome volvos, and the videos are really nice when they do walk around and show the interrior and all the add ons that are installed by volvo custom made stuff to beef up the cars. about 1000lbs of extra add ons, brakes, suspensions and so on.. Perhaps something like this might be interesting for you guys here. I don''t know I'm just asking because they are in Swedish so they might not be a good fit, but if of any interest let me know and I'll look em up and link them.
EDIT: ok I just looked through the channel know and realised this might be more about the nostalgic models which I love too..
