  • Join me on my annual springtime hike along the riverbank. I see a lot of wildlife including an American bald eagle on a nest, a bunch of crows and Canada geese on nests. I also find some cool Civil War relics. It was an awesome day on the river.

Hey aquachigger!! I'm not sure if you are interested but when you find broken bottles on the river with just the tops broken off or something like that, you should bring them home and use the rope burning trick and make them into drinking glasses! I do that a lot when I search for bottles. Especially the cool embossed bottles with toos broken off. A little burnt string and some fine sandpaper and it will turn them into awesome drinking glasses!

I have found lots of good objects from digging under tree piles / rock piles because they usually hold good caches, I live near a area that is known for flooding but most of it gets stuck in the bank or the sand banks or just get washed down river 80km+, old trails will hold good items etc...
I would also recommend going back to that bank and search where that bullet was since I think that's a pretty good spot and if you have any websites you could recommended for appraising old bottles that would be awesome since I sorta live in the same geology as you and I like collecting stuff from the old world even though I am younger, I think history is important and that we shouldn't forget the past because if we do it will be doomed to repeat itself anyways have a good day or night and thanks for reading this comment :).
