Hi Steve I've just started watching your video's and I'm loving them. Would you recommend painting door frames before walls. I find easier to cut in the walls rather then the door frames and sometimes the doorframes can be in awkward positions
Do it however you want, buddy, the best way is to cut frame to wall, then do the other way for the hard to get edges
Looks good mate. Do you prefer oil based undercoat/topcoat to water based? Obviously more time consuming with the oils to dry but gives a way superior finish.
@Anthony Paul. If it was 3 or 4 years ago i would of said oil, but over the last few years i am fully converted to water based and hybrid paints, they are getting as good these days. Also as a bonus they dry fast and they dont give of fumes.
Did you use an adhesion primer undercoat
Or a just a standard undercoat?
@Deekoh39 . it was valspar water based dark grey primer undercoat.
You do one coat on the door then do the walls then do the second woodwork coat. What is the purpose of this?
@Aaron Sandford . 9 times out of 10 i do woodwork after walls have been finished this way you can cut in edges of door frames, and tops of skirting boards.

it wasn't cut in, the walls needed there finish coat before i could cut it in lol.
