thank you for this video compilation, i had a great moment during half an hour and my fav games are Marathon at 37:00 and Huxley at 13:29, they look for me dazzling. they are dreamy and i wish there will be movies like this . i hope the gameplay as great as the trailers. First trailer reminds me of the Project Awakening trailer given how the enemy responded to strikes and how the players respond to strikes. It's more cinematic of course, but not by a huge margin until they get into the forest.
Yeah and it makes no sense. I see them slash and shoot the tiger. Yet I see no marks or wounds. I see the Tiger cuff the first dude clear across the courtyard. Yet I see no marks on him either. Without visual cues of what you're doing to each other it's kinda just nonsensical.
@@jasonwrner I suspect they are not doing things like that (having the creature get cuts etc) because of a new corporatist and very formulaic approach to putting these games out, that cut a lot of costs and rely on underlying technology in the game engines to produce superficially stunning scenes like the optimised gameplay in the trailer.
They keep trying to find something that works in a given year and just regurgitate it. I bet it's as a consequence of trying to prove to creatives that they are expendable. This is why indie games are doing so well!
What I will say is that the beast in the first trailer is much more responsive to attack than 95% of the current AAA gameplay trailers.
the first one they give is a cinematic trailer, until you see black myth wukong gameplay, you can say they (although have different main) "inspired"
when the white dude came out i thought it was a sequel to that Wall Chinese movie when Matt Damon suddenly showed up out of nowhere :D
@@jasonwrner It's possible as well that they aren't showing the blood and so on in the trailers to keep the rating down. Too much blood would push the "age" rating up until nobody under 18 could watch it without a parent present or something. At least over here in the US parents are screaming about how much blood and gore is in the "kids" games now.

Soon as i saw retrieval, i kind of though of a game like that where you go in and get materials or specific parts to fix something you need to escape. Running back to your safe haven every time. And each time, you have to go deeper and further away from safety to retrieve what you need. Sneaking or running back every time. Is there a game already like that?
Huxley, that was a surprise - that was kicking around in 2007 and died out a few years later. Looks like it’s back in a big way.

On PC yes. Some of the cinimatics actually aren't as high quality as some of the games I played last year. If you are playing on a high quality monitor at 4k sometimes the cinematics are even a lower quality than the actual game. Far Cry 4 was a good example of that for me a few years back.

Wow! these trailers are so incredible! What an age we live in.
On one hand we have abundant food, clean water, shelter and technology of the gods. We are able to make such great works of audio-visual art.
On the other hand, a lot of us are jobless/unemployed, have mental health issues and are having trouble making the ends meet to afford any of the abundant resources. Many of those who work are over-worked. What is the use of all this great knowledge if we don't have the wisdom to use it to empower ourselves and those around us?
There are so many people on earth right now who don't even have their basic needs met. Forget internet, they don't have clean water and food to eat. Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and the rest of the world are going through a severe economic crisis. It's time, we unite and share the resources of the earth and...as voice in the last trailer said... "here, together, we can build ourselves a home"

@@microvvaveoven If people stay complacent, no ideology can help us. People need to be aware of the problem first. They need to understand what's happening. Capitalism worked well for some time. But, it has not worked for all. Developed countries benefited more from it and now it's drawbacks are clearly visible. Go to any major US cities and you'll see a homelessness like never before and majority of those with housing are no better excluding the few who work for tech companies. Right now, I think a hybrid of capitalism and socialism would be better. But, this change can only come from the public. People need to unite and demand their respective governments for basic needs for all and equitable sharing of Earth's resources. Then, the governments will be forced create a list of the resources their countries have and the United Nations will combine the lists and ensure that the world's resources are shared and used optimally in a just way. The future is either going to be collaboration of the governments and people of the world.. Or there wont be a future at all
I really wish they would've remade the first MGS game or better yet remake the very first Metal Gear game. Though I do love Snake Eater and it technically comes first story wise.

next gen graphics is nice but I'd really rather have an optimized game at launch. we havnt had an optimized "next gen" game in a while aside from armored core
For the people thinking, "Still waiting for a new Fable," you can all be quite now.
The only one looking really exciting is behemoth, yeah it's very cinematic, and will probably be an interactive movie, but it looks good enough to tolerate that.
Make this a movie please.

The gfx is great, but just comes across as 3 random lunatics attacking a mutated tiger in it's habitat. Lack of context put's sympathy on the victim and animosity towards the poachers.
i mean we are always playing as poachers in fantasy games, as even mosnters are usually just animals and we just kill them for resources

Why show these amazing graphics for over 10 years now , yet when we get the actual game it comes nowhere near the quality , or the hardware cant run it ?

Kinda feels like they blew the budged on the trailers... also, i think i'll stick with monster hunter, somehow i don't feel the need to be arm twisted by south korean gaming companies into p2w.

My two cents on some of these trailers:
Project V feels like a cross between Ghosts of Tsushima and Monster Hunter, I only hope they kept the best parts for both (different weapon mechanics for MH and environmental storytelling for GoT) without falling into the pitfalls of such games (repetitive grinds and restrictive player agency).

Beautiful Light gives me Death Stranding vibes but with Gears of War cover-shooter mechanics, hopefully the story is less cryptic than all that "Princess Beach" nonsense and the cover-shooting isn't just repeats of the same stale old formula.

That Retrieval trailer is just... bad. I mean, okay, survival horror, I get it, but come ON, at least display some common sense in the trailer instead of just going for pure Ultra8kHD or whatever. The girl has a giant flashlight on her FACE, she's literally the only source of white light in that building, and the monsters just run past the hallway she's in while her light in shining out of the hallway? And that bit where she's ducking in and out from behind that door, you're seriously expecting me to believe that these monsters with them big ass eyes aren't seeing the light? I already don't like this game, and I know literally nothing about it other than that it's going to be some sort of survival horror.

MGS Delta Snake Eater, first of all that doesn't look like Snake, no really, not even a younger version of him or whatever the story is for that game, it looks like someone is trying to cosplay as Snake and is just doing an okay job at it. Second, I can appreciate wanting to show off the "realism" with the animal animations, but if you're going to go for "realism" then don't have the ants become robots as soon as they start moving. I don't know if you've ever seen ants move, they don't move like that, the legs the antennae the body, it's all wrong, and together with the "cosplay Snake" it just feels really uncanny valley. Great job Konami, you've screwed over MGS all over again, is this all part of your master plan to discredit Kojima?
