- This is a soft spoken asmr video where I unbox an old World of Warcraft Vanilla base game packaging. There is also a soft spoken narration of the base game manual for the original version of World of Warcraft. I hope you enjoy this nostalgic content together with me during this stressful Christmas month 🎄

I still have my original box set like this except I have the 5 disc version. I remember it was an all night ordeal to install the game back in the early 2000s with my computer only have .512 memory and dsl internet and all the patch updates. But once installed I was in love with the game. Great video Erudwen per usual, brought back some good memories.
I can one up you there with EverQuest on a 56k modem lol. Downloading patches could take hours.

I remember starting the patch updates before school, and sometimes would come back to a cancelled download because the dial up disconnected at some point during the day. Whole thing sometimes took 6-8 hours. Now I get annoyed if an update is longer than 5 minutes haha
I had the original vanilla collectors edition but I binned it recently (it got water damaged from a leak) the art book was still good though.. I actually beta tested WoW back in the day
My favorite part of the original game art was that the dwarf battling the yeti inside the front cover is using Teebu's Blazing Longsword, one of the most sought-after items in the entire game.

Wow that brings back memories. I remember running to the store picking this up, and after waiting for hours for it to update, spent an entire week playing this.
I remember when I went from Warcraft III to WoW and opening the box for the first time and seeing the opening sequence of the game!! Those were exciting times!! 😁 Thank you for this wonderful video! Very nostalgic😌
Man, this is a real blast from the past. As a solo player, I couldn't quite get the full enjoyment out the game but I just kept coming back to read the box/booklet over and over again. Occasionally played with a friend who I haven't seen in well over a decade now and we tried to go through the deadmines with just the two of us, only to fail miserably everytime.. So many great memories!
Just resubbed again a few days ago actually. Started up a new character and have been chipping away at the timewalk campaign for Lich King.. Playing more dungeons and might even try a raid for first time! Missed so much lore and I think it's time I finally get stuck in!

I have a pet theory that part of the reason wow blew up like it did is because it came out when the first wave of serious gamers that grew up with gaming were reaching college age / early adulthood thus finding themselves with little adult supervision and a game to spend an irresponsible amount of time on. Just the right game and the right time.
Love these videos, even though I don't really care about WoW. It's the passion and, of course, the voice that keeps me coming back. I would love longer soft spoken videos in Swedish, too, but I understand that they don't get as many views, which is a shame. It's such a lovely language, even though I can only understand the few words that are similar to English. Have a great Sunday Erudwen!

I used to watch my dad play this game all the time back in 2006ish, I remember staying up late just to watch him hit level 60. Good times
I still remember the night where I first played this game in 2004. I had an Undead Warlock and went to Tirisfal the first time. I looked at the night sky in the game and it was all green, like tainted and I was like "wowwwwwww the sky is so green and corrupted!"
I also don’t no much about WOW however this amazing voice keeps me in place. My favorite new ASMR channel.

I know all about stealing the fun stuff from my older sibling too.
I have a white lego horse, a mini Tepig figure and a Card Capture Sakura book of cards (I gave him my book of them but I don't know what happened to it) so I think I either have mine back or his.
I have found the end of the year to be hellishly stressful the past couple of years due to people just...not being the best to me and my health.
Never realized how badly that effected me until this year.
Though I do enjoy Christmas a lot. I have my own tree this year and I bought decorations for it. I always wanted that.
I love the table cloth you had for the background. It's nostalgic and beautiful.
I really do hope Christmas is good. I remember saying something about hopefully you get more Moomin last time.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful experiences and memories from your past, I sincerely hope your health issues are stabilizing or getting better! I have this wonderful Christmas tradition at home.. every year I try to find a new Christmas tree ornament in the shape of a dog 🎄 There are quite a few doggos in the tree now, I can really recommend that if you have a certain thing that brings you a lot of joy! Makes every year you put up your tree a bit more special 🎁

In 2005 I was 13 and I started saving/spending my own money and was fresh in High School I remember being so excited after purchasing this game just to find out my computer was too slow to run the game 😂😂

I had the box with 4cd's (i think it was 4, but am not 100) sadly i gave it to one of my college mates, so he could install it and never got it back.. cdkeys were activated, so not like i lost much.. but still, would like to have them back
