Silent Hiking to the Summit of Mt. Rose - June 2024 | Snow Report

A short video of our hike to the summit of Mt. Rose on June 16th of 2024 showing the trail conditions. Some snow on the trail but all of the patches are pretty easy to go over or around. Only a few somewhat sketchy patches. Shoes with good treads and trekking poles recommended for a little extra safety and to maintain those three points of contact.

As of June 16th, there are no restrooms at the trailhead.

A little bit of snow to make it more interesting, but not so much that it was a slog.

Hey, I've been there! (With you and a handful of T443). The snow is an awesome addition, but I really liked the evening hike that we did. Those views are always amazing, but the sunset is incredible. Great video and take care out there!

Views from Mt. Rose almost never fail to disappoint (unless it’s covered in clouds)
