A few weeks ago, Israel & Palestine were on the front page of every news channel because of the recent war. I always tried to steer away from political conversations esp. about Israel & Palestine because i dont know much about it. But just a few days ago i was at the bookstore & was brought to find his book. After reading it, i cant help but cry. I cried for all of them, what they had to go through & i cried for this man - but most grateful for him & how God sent him for this purpose. I pray for Israel & Palestine and will continue to include them in my prayers from now on.
Today, Israel and Palestine are every day in the news because of the Hamas attack against the Jews. What is old is new again.
Try to find a way to read his book released in 2010-2011, 'Son of Hamas." He described his life there written in pure and sincerest truth from his heart.
Wow, wow, wow. This was mind blowing. The change in this man can only be the work of God. Praise be to God. This man taught me that as much as I hate the actions of hamas, if they would change their ways I could forgive them. Truth has a way to heal the heart and mind. Are you sure your mother loved you? I mean, everything can be questioned. I suggest doing more reading about Mossab. He says he was sexually assaulted by a relative at age 5 and witnessed Hamas brutality towards their own while imprisoned in Israel. I loved the expression "toxic shrill echo against Israel". I couldn't help thinking of a Jack Russell I once had and whose shrill bark drove me nuts (I was used to quiet cats and he was just too much).
Now seriously, the hatred toward Israel is bordering a psychosis. I was just driving by an LGBT event (part of Pride week) when I noticed, along the many rainbow flags, even more Palestinian flags. They were shouting anti-Israel slogans ("From the mountains to the sea, Palestine will be free").
Now we know there are NO LGBT rights in Palestine! It's a taboo society, interested in hating Israel over dealing with its own human rights.
When I approached a young lady holding the PA flag and asked about the curious "menage" between the two, she got verbally upset. Damn! How dare I state the obvious. It's such a joke. They will never be free as long as they're blinded by hatred.
