I’ve only heard of this game for three days and I already absolutely adore it. The gameplay looks so fun, Squid is one of my favorite video game characters now, and the lore is really interesting- I honestly didn’t expect any from a game like this. I was delightfully surprised when I learned it did. Squid’s backstory is so depressing 💔 the only person he loved told him he had to Ki// himself to save mankind. I can’t even imagine how devastated he felt when Amelia said that to him.
I'm a software engineer, and the high level deep learning ethics concepts littered throughout the data terminals were surprisingly detailed to find in a video game. The dev did a really good job with piecing together a compelling story in an otherwise simple platforming game.
After finishing this (the video), WOW that was seriously impressive! I beat the game yesterday, and I would like to 100% it and try a rageless infinitely easy playthrough

I usually keep all dialogue and cutscenes in my deathless runs. I appreciate having moments of downtime in between the pressure of having to play well. He can get a bit annoying though for sure.

A few hours of practice. Realistically this is a weird deathless run to practice for because the levels are not really the same every time you play through. Just learning the layouts of the levels, doing the bosses a few times, and then just executing the run were all that was involved. 😅

there are assist features like slowing the game down and skipping levels, and I don't think squid mocks you for using them. Idk if you can turn off flashing lights if that's the issue tho.
There isn't a huge incentive to shoot for higher difficulties so I'm likely to not do it. I think it was between 8-10 attempts or so on infinitely easy. The biggest issue with attempting the game on higher difficulties is that you are unable to really guarantee any kind of safety through some of the screens because of the predictive algorithm, and then it just becomes something you throw yourself at until you get which feels kind of bad. Really great game though.

Hey, thanks for the nice comment. I'm not really interested in growing as a channel. I upload these videos mostly for me and my friends. Having a bunch of subs would pressure me into uploading more often or doing content I don't want to do, and that would take the fun out of how I play games. I'll keep uploading videos like this for as long as I enjoy challenging games.

Basically at the end if you skip the tram escape by going on foot (which is faster) the NPCs will ask you if you tried to speedrun it. I can't really think of other examples of the 4th wall breaking like that, but yeah. It may not be from original creators, but it calls you out.
I think sonic colors ultimate decided to add hidden lines if you do some of the popular out of bounds glitches used in speed running but tails doesn’t mention speed running outright. he’s just like “what happen? I don’t think we’re supposed to be here”
I'm currently trying to clear the game on easy at 200% speed. I'm stuck on the final boss. (not a deathless run, just beating everything once). After that I might see how feasible an easy difficulty normal speed deathless run would be.

I'm currently working on all bosses 200% speed (easy difficulty), so hopefully I can knock that out, but some of these are really tough.
